I agree with Lewis on the preferences in their discography, even though this is undoubtedly better than everything else and deserved a proper mention. Definitely less so on the review, which is a bit too hasty (especially if one considers it could represent the masterpiece of a "historic" group).

There weren't even the Embryo, in DeB? Rodney, you're covering a lot of gaps lately... What year is this from? The link in Freedb doesn't work.... Alright, I'll search the excellent label's site (the same as Ekkehard Ehlers...)

@Saputello: I understand your point of view. I would narrow it down even further: a handful of authors would be enough (and deserve) to engage us for years of research and listening. Personally, I have given up on the idea of systematicity, even though I have practiced it over the years. Now I am curious about recent productions, and since I currently have access to a large quantity, I am taking advantage of it. However, I continue, at the same time, to gather, for example, the best suggestions from various excellent DeRecensori on the music you mention and add them to my old lists - As for the "fastidiousness": it is undeniable that here half of the substance is writing, and I believe that a minimum of care should be given to it. Then, as you may have noticed, every now and then, among many recent proposals, I take a leap into the past, more or less distant, digging up records and authors, generally a bit "forgotten" and interesting in my opinion. But even in this case, without systematicity. Bye - @Stoopid: I haven't even moved; I observe arrivals and departures from my lair.. :)

Never heard of them. The review is intriguing, especially since it doesn’t mention the music itself, except for evoking images and names... Reading the comments, I feel like I have a rough idea of what’s in the album. However, I can’t refrain from my own - Campagna Samples 2006 - - @Ajeje you mentioned a band that, for me too, is a fresh discovery and about which I have written a small piece (there will be another 4 or 5 appearing, though, before that).

It's not true, you know, Smarty. It can be done, it can be done: for example, the Punisher (or Stronko) passes and regularly scores 4s when he's feeling generous :) - There's always someone else who knows them, often better than I do. In this case, Gabbox.. How? I have a couple of "channels" open right now and I'm letting in everything. The hard part is finding the time to really listen to them. In fact, I don't write about many of them. Bai bai

And of course also the year. 2006 (recorded in '05) not 2002. - The French Fnac website informs us that: "La sacre dy Tympan a été nommé Révélation française de l'année aux Victoires du Jazz 2006."

@ Punisher: Label Bleu, distributed by IRD practically everywhere, islands included. - @the kind editor: the link to Freedb is wrong: it shows the tracklist of the previous album, this is new (Le Retour)
