Whatever they are, they have a really nice name...

Donjunio is right (who undeservedly cites me in the upper gallery). These reviews have been an excellent guide for those who have only occasional listens to classical music and a lot of gaps to fill, like myself. And to the names he mentioned, unfortunately absent for a while, let us add with full right Contemplazione. - I don’t have Michelangeli’s performance; I think I’ll treat myself to it one of these days.

Ah yes, the vote (almost 3.5)

Already mentioned in the other review: a decent album, all things considered. Sure, nothing new and no trace of any particular talent, but it's not as bad as I thought. - Damn, Smarty Pants, really? It's not nice, come on, to wish that on anyone..

Harvey's latest is a bit of a step down from the previous one, in my opinion, Vì. This one is actually nice, and after the very first listens, I found that I liked it even more upon re-listening.

I don't remember much, it's been decades. I recall Joe D'Alessandro, a sense of... meaninglessness, the smell of the '70s. Off the top of my head, based on a frayed memory, I’d say 3 is the right score. Who knows what happened to that beautiful hunk of Joe...

Well, Psycho, you were right: beautiful beautiful Voice of the Seven Woods, which is now circling around in the cave...
The Cinematic Orchestra Ma Fleur
Voto:
Indeed, for me too, this latest work by the cinematic orchestra has turned out to be rather predictable and somewhat disappointing. It remains a decent album that highlights some of the pitfalls into which many similar projects risk falling, given the context in which they operate. Albums that, when listened to at the "right moment," appear to resonate with a mood, can seem almost perfect, and then, at other times, reveal all the "unfinished quality" you mention, Bjorky. For me as well, "Every Day" is their best, but I also appreciated "The Man With The Camera." This one has only found its way into the player a few times since the first listen.

I'm curious that while the new album is coming out (there's a somewhat funny review in DeB), you focused on the previous one. It's also interesting that I listened to it for the first time in full tonight... It's not really my usual genre of listening, and I was quite biased. But... aside from the considerations on understanding or interpreting music (a complex discussion - by the way, I loved Doctor J's joke), the essence of your page is quite shareable and he, in the end, is much more deserving than I thought and than many others lumped together in the same overflowing, pop mtvisivo pot. Yes, maybe it reaches a 3 in its field. And at this point, I'm also a bit curious to hear the new one...

Contemplation is not the only occasion on which Teo Macero has proven to be essential. Besides the quantity and quality (and versatility: I believe he also produced the first Lounge Lizards) of his productions, I have a couple of records under his name: well, a very personal sound universe.
