Great advice from Ajeje and Supersoul, and there are many more out there. It's worth looking for Spirogyra, OleEinar. There are a couple of blogs where you can find their albums, good quality files. I agree that posting yet another little page about an album that's already been reviewed (multiple times) is pointless, especially when there’s an overwhelming number of lesser-known records even within the same genre. Speaking of which, the bloom of many blogs dedicated to various genres, often meticulous and well-maintained, allows us to discover how many productions went practically unnoticed back in the day (I've found albums I had never seen before). What’s the point of always circling around the usual titles? And then, if you’re really passionate about a certain "genre" and musical period, don’t you feel like searching for lesser-known things as well? I don't know... - About this album, more or less a 4.

Mhhh I should listen to it again. When it first came out, I wasn’t very convinced; I definitely preferred the previous one. Surely no more than 4, I think a 3.5 is better. I’d be curious to check the effectiveness of certain live music...

Never followed him much, nor did I think he was that "great." It almost makes me want to give it another listen. From what I remember of him, though, the distance between him and sweet-faced Richman, in terms of music and attitude, was vast.

Cute, but like hundreds of others, I haven't listened to it in ages, even though I used to play both of them endlessly back in the day. Maybe I liked the second one more, probably because of "Vanishing." Anyway, class (and Xtc has always had class) isn't just water, and even under different guises, they were unmistakable... or not?

Masterpiece is a big word, but I see you have the same habits as many who have come here before you, and you use it easily. Among the Elephant family, I prefer the Olivia Tremor C; I would give this pleasant record a score between 3 and 4. No score for your little page, as I don’t usually give them, but you did manage to bring a smile: the way you found DeB and your confusion resemble what happened to me more than 2 years ago. I am still undecided today...

I can only listen to it in controlled doses; when the stuff is pure, it's better not to overdo it. - Contemplation increasingly at ease with the text, always with very valid contributions: I pass by here but I also appreciated the page on Brad M. - I renew my compliments. bai bai

For me, infinite listens were not necessary at all: I had already loved the 1st, but when I put this one on the table, I became a true fan of the Gang of Four. In this case, I cheerfully disregard "objective" and "historical" evaluations, comparisons with other albums, and the maniacal charts of musical entomologists who decide that Entertainment is better: I affectionately bestow a 5 on my dear Solid Gold - P.S. A lot of newcomers, especially the English ones, should kiss these guys' asses.

Damn, your hypothesis about the Celentan-thought complicates things even more: no, it's just that it seemed to me like a really nonsensical question about pop rock, regarding this album (and in general) and it kinda reminded me of that nonsense about rock/slow... - Well, Nedved... everyone knows by now that he's a student of Cagnotto. For me, the fault is always ours: you can't be satisfied, you have to be more focused and determined all the time. It should have and could have been wrapped up sooner. Those 2 points less are heavy, damn...
