Well, I see you're still evading the issue: in a space like this, public and open to all kinds of people, where what is written is commented on by anyone who reads it and wants to do so, it's essential to understand the most basic typical dynamics. Then: if you think it's useful (and it is, it was for me) to draw the attention of others to a musician and their work, don't hide behind the finger (even if irritated) of "you're all better than me" or "it's not up to me to review, since there are those who do it better than I do." It's clear that you are perfectly capable of de/scribing: so why dedicate almost all your lines to a condensed set of considerations on the nature of art (I don't find many real questions, but rather many of your personal "descriptions" of phenomena, works, and artists) rather than on the work of the musician in question? And why not clarify the nature of your attempt right away instead of shouting with those capital letters about accusations of plagiarism that no one even dreamed of directing at you? - Now, if you can observe the matter from a less "involved" perspective, you would agree that if you really care about "seeking products of intellect, genius, inspiration, etc..." it might be the case not to come here as if you were the only one interested, and perhaps look among the over 17,000 pages for those who have shown the same intent, without forgetting the musicians or the works they have written about. You might be surprised to discover that there are many of those pages. And I, who have been listening to music for over thirty years, have often thanked guys who are half my age for the beautiful discoveries or re/discoveries (memory, over time, falters) that they have allowed me to make. You see what kind of attitude to adopt: you can take the disdainful and superior one (but at this point it doesn’t seem like a great idea) or you can get involved and become yet another user who will happen to thank for the useful suggestions that, unfortunately, don’t occur with great frequency to read. Bye.

I understand perfectly, Jake, but I try to reserve my rare outbursts for more serious matters. What I was talking about isn't even a review but a simple little game, an example of how seemingly "antithetical" objects and interests can coexist if placed honestly within their specific context. Bye.

@JakeChambers: I wouldn't be so drastic, despite the undeniable doubts raised by the behavior of the gentlemen you refer to. Of course, the little skit staged to regain ground (seasoned with quotes and a finally decent tone, to demonstrate being "studied") is perhaps more reprehensible than the attitudes exhibited in the comments, as it is clearly ridiculous, after so much lively and vulgar aggression. This does not take away from the fact that some considerations are shareable, even though I find the conclusions drawn from some passages questionable. But, as I mentioned in post no. 9, I have no intention of expressing myself further on the matter, especially after getting to know the individuals involved. What is most shocking, however, is discovering that the lady is a teacher! If her ability to understand the context in which she finds herself, to relate to it without overestimating her role and the weight of any conflicts in relation to that context, is what we have observed, the situation is truly sad. In the periodic meetings with the teachers at the school my son attends, I have noticed that teachers with undeniable preparation often exhibit surprisingly childish behavior, which I find hard to comprehend. Unfortunately, I don't believe that an in-depth knowledge of any subject protects anyone from the danger of being detrimental to their own "mission." On the contrary, it seems that quite often the opposite is true. The blissful arrogance with which the lady dismisses Borges as a great presumption, without realizing the presumption contained in such a statement, I believe is, among all (even more than the loud hysteria displayed as if in front of a turbulent class) the most delightful gem.... - And yet.... in the end, I went to the musician's website, where I found all three of them again. Despite the unpleasant encounter, I must thank them, at least for the website link. As I have already written, I believe that the little group has provided a poor service to the cause here. But the cause, the musician in question, and his work deserve, in my opinion, utmost respect and attention. It is obviously the opinion of a complete ignoramus, who entered this site over a couple of years ago with a little page that contained a curious digression on Duchamp's fountain. But who, despite this, has at home a large number of records by Pieranunzi and Rea, and should he write about one of their albums, he wouldn’t take the opportunity to bestow upon the "cattle" his very debatable view of art, relegating the authors to the bottom of his ego. Best regards and kisses (even to the lady, as I have no sisters).

I just listened to it. Really beautiful, and the review is lovely too.

P.S. I noticed you discussing asses with the same meticulous engagement you dedicate to Beethoven, which adds further to your credit :))

Great description, rich and smooth. That "two jazz musicians avant la lettre" made me smile. I'll take note and search for it, thank you.

@Kyrielison: oh, what a coincidence: I just read the private message and I'll repeat here what I replied there: don't waste time with my boring little pages, write a few reviews yourself. Even if it's for an oral antiseptic, I would appreciate it (and I wouldn't be the only one). But now stop making me ask you, damn it. Get to work. Thank you.

Oh, a brand new user, this Jupiter, just born and places his first comment in this "romanesco" that should sound charming right here, in favor of Padella. And also a nice little vote for his page. In kindergarten, kids use less painful tricks. I greet you, luminary of a certain specific weight. See you later.

It's a shame I feel less and less like the rough impetuosity you write about so excellently. Meanwhile, I'm taking notes for my next youth. Cheers.
