Great move, Muito. A delightful twist among the suggestions on the page. The game it proposes is also nice, so I’ll give it a try. There wasn't much left to tear away; it had long been relegated to mere vegetative functions. But without any understandable reason (even today I can’t come up with one, and the song fails to provide any plausible ones), a precise point in "Spinning Away," track no. 6 of "Wrong Way Up," became indissolubly linked to the desolate feeling of repressed anger, both distressing and sublime (?) that I felt that afternoon. A sensation that, if I only had a heart, is probably the closest thing to ā€œheart-wrenchingā€ that I remember. And it still has an effect: I just put the CD on, selected track 6, and reached that point... Damn you.

Well, in the meantime, I’ll rewatch it (I saw it for the last time in a complete retrospective of L. more than 10 years ago), but those you mentioned are important: like the lightness that, in a montage I recall as spectacular, makes use of theatrical elements in a very refined way, as in a comedy of misunderstandings, and in a vertigo and a game of reversals, paradoxically makes the historical-political references it conveys even more effective, precisely by using that lightness. Some scenes, due to their construction, could also be sketched out, without necessarily "trying to explain the plot," and "used" as little paradigms. But it is, I repeat, just one way among many to approach the film. Everyone has their own. I’ve never even written a short piece about a film. I don't even know how I would do it if I tried. But I’ve babbled enough: the only useful information was in the first post: € 6.90 at the newsstand. Bai bai.

Well, you didn't even give me time to reread it before you were already replying... Since you did: one thing doesn’t exclude the other, and in certain cases, the effort to make multiple layers coexist in a single text wouldn’t be a bad thing. Of course, it's a personal opinion (I don't care if they are long or short).

But also no, after all (upon rereading, I appreciate the summary: it says what matters)

The DVD is on sale, in newsstands, for €6.90. Anyone who has never seen it MUST buy it. The decision to present it on DeB is commendable, but a work of this caliber (so rich in elements, primarily intelligence and irony) perhaps deserved a greater effort in terms of analysis and contextualization...

Hi, Jake. Every time I pass by some fakino who tries to involve me, I still haven't figured out why... This idea of love/hate and ratings for comments is strange... And then that spotted amoeba instead of the venerable cow (I had already suffered from the replacement of the crouching bovine with the standing one) seems to have to produce a sound similar to that of the little animals (quails?) when the protagonist's cutlery opened them, causing the thick dark liquid to spill onto the blinding whiteness of the plate, in Eraserhead... Like every old man, I struggle to process changes. Bai bai.

Hey, pataphysician, I still have the vinyl! (And I even had a pretty good evening with Cosey, back in the last century, but you probably think I'm a mythomaniac and a boastful, so never mind) I didn't expect your "essential story" to include T.G. Anyway, I'm still waiting for the lightweight binder with zebra leather; I sent the payment transfer four months ago…

Dear Luca Granziero, I just leaned out and found you here, under the window, babbling; I tossed you some Ciappi, if you need anything else click confidently on my nickname, otherwise get lost: you’re quite smelly, not to mention dull. And if you're not that poor guy Flinstone you resemble him quite a bit, which doesn't work in your favor. Bye, Lapalisse of mine...

Dear Luca Granziero, I'm sorry to repeat myself (the first time it seems you weren't able to understand, despite being obvious) that you haven't understood a damn thing. But you insist. Since the last comment I made on DeBaser was on that review of Nettadebaser, which mentioned me, and prior to that I hadn't written a post for months, I wonder: what the hell do you want? If you need something, write confidently by clicking on my nickname; otherwise, avoid dragging me into your issues. - Beautiful page, I wasn't familiar with Mr. Cyro's solo work, I'll look for it… Congrats to Muitosaudosismo, also for other pieces of his that I've read with much enjoyment. - Regards to Jake, Velluto, and Morning.
