Jon Hassell Fourth World, Vol. 2: Dream Theory in Malaya
Voto:
Mhhhhh...... primitive? It almost seems, reading the text, that it’s an ethnic record and that Hassell was an anthropologist with a trumpet rather than a refined musician continuing a research project started years earlier, already revealed with the astonishing Vernal Equinox. The page is nice, but since (as noted by Spacca) Hassell is not well-known, at least on DeB, perhaps focusing the text on him instead of one’s own parapoetic suggestions...

Psycho, Samamidon has talent. For me, it's a nice album, above average for similar productions. This one convinced me less, although it's kind of nice...
John Zorn and Secret Chiefs 3 Xaphan: Book of Angels Vol. 9
Voto:
Fuck Allmusic: Secret Chief 3 is a great project, very interesting albums, and thank goodness Patton isn't involved - A little while ago I was about to buy this, and then I switched to an old one by Giya Kancheli, which fits my mood these days better. But somehow I'll get hold of it. - The feat of paloz is truly epic, which I have already taken advantage of. I thank him here as well. - Hi, Morning (Yes, Borges & Partch: so different, so lovable...)

Well done Alessio, great idea to highlight this work, rich in insights and very "basic". Not long ago I looked for it because I wanted to review it but couldn't find it. Do you know if it's available?

In fact, Bonny: what are you doing here? I don't know. - I haven't listened to this album in at least 20 years, but muscular atrophy doesn't seem to fit that well...

Psycho, in the dark side there’s the most delightful page I’ve read in recent months (perhaps my favorite of all time, but I’m in love with the author). I’m talking about: "Johann Sebastian Bach: Kunst Der Fuge" presented to us by the lovely Kyrielison.
Francesco De Gregori Per brevità chiamato artista

Mhhh it's hard to remember any occasion when I would have endorsed even a good portion of azzo's posts. And yet, despite the tones and the absolutism, in this case the portion is pretty large. The television appearance, the title, and the songs on this album (which I wanted to listen to once, and couldn’t bear to listen to a second time) generate two things: irritation and pity. But probably it’s just me aging badly; he seems quite satisfied. To stick to the title, I must (meaning I can't help but) quote a phrase I love from Longanesi (I’ve probably dug it up in other comments before, but here it’s perfect), "the disgust that the word artist evokes in me." - I don’t feel like playing to find "alternatives," I don't feel much enthusiasm even for the names mentioned, although they are interesting works. - But I would like to add one last thing, because I read something terrible: Ghemi, you say that you don’t like football (and therefore probably don’t know it very well) Good, so why blaspheme? :)))

"I myths of cinema," I took it "loose." So far I've seen 6 or 7 titles, all interesting. Hi, Sabatino.
