Can I take care of the sandwiches? Also the drinks, of course. Alright, we’ll talk about it one of these days.

True, KYRIELISON, what you say about the early records is very true. We’ve found it again, a bit, that Count (even if softly arranged) in "La Vecchia Giacca Nuova," from Elegia. How beautiful is that song? I have to listen to it; it’s there waiting for its moment... CiaU

I listened to it. Not all of it, you know, because halfway through I got the concept and that was enough for me... Well, I was right to listen to something else back then. It's a matter of taste, and mine, as you know, are quirky - P.S. the content of your last post is quite shareable. It’s just that I don’t find these Puppi to be that essential. Don’t hold it against me, curly. Kisses.

So it was also well-considered. And that's fine if you think that way... But don’t stretch too far with interpretations and generalizations: "too much to listen to," as far as I'm concerned, has nothing to do with "indulgence towards the independent niche," quite the opposite. And "a bit too caricatural cruelty" refers to what I remember of the sonic attitude, not the existential affairs of a skinny pup. - Anyway, given your plea, "sooner or later I'll listen to it" - Lots of nice things, you little dark one (but I didn’t get that "camerata" part...)

The Cabs are the Cabaret Voltaire, and it's true what Kosmo says about the times. Thirst is a phenomenal album (for me their best, by far) and anyway the subsequent developments of Clock DVA can never be fully categorized as "industrial," at least it seems to me. Skinny Puppy never really caught my attention, there was too much other stuff to listen to, and I think I can agree with Mike76 when he talks about "a nastiness that’s a bit too caricatured." I’m still waiting for the flashy binding, hoping for a more thoughtful choice for the next chapters of the saga.. Good things, blondie.

I really enjoy reading what you write. I don't feel like seeing it right now, but I will. CiaU

Well, I got this disc after reading Psycho's review and I think I even included it in my DeClassifica of 2006, in the "rock" section.... I take advantage of the fact that the page has come back to life after some time and I thank Psycho (a bit late) for the tip. In fact, tonight I’m going to dust it off (the album, not Psycho). Bye, gentlemen.

@Enea: It was the first time, Enea, that I used that word: in fact, for a while afterward, my fingertips itched from some sort of allergy, I believe. But aside from parallels with other films, the rest of the post in question finds me in complete agreement. Not because it was ā€œrespondingā€ to you, but because it was already written and just needed to be quoted. - @Velluto: Well, for both you should get the originals; it’s not difficult. Even if Scorsese's is definitely better than Cimino's, it remains a remake and it's nice to enjoy the source. And then there’s Mitch...

Good job, Supersoul, always on time and in the know. "Desperate Hours" I saw ages ago, in a cinema, during a Bogart retrospective (I also really liked "A Bullet for Roy," from the early '40s) and indeed there are similarities...
