Screamin' Jay Hawkins Screamin’ Jay Hawkins & The Fuzztones Live
Voto:
Damn, I had this vinyl, I didn't remember...
Incredible pairing, come on, even the Fuzztones are doing their damn part, if I recall correctly.

I've listened, but I can't find much of Quinn's intentions in the music he makes with his friends. Maybe I don't understand (the intentions, the music), but the impression is that, in any case, it's mainly a matter of harmony: with you, evidently, that happens.
It seems to me a waste of time, and I don't like it, as I have less and less of it.
Tra-la-la.

I saw it, overcoming an automatic prejudice, thanks to this review.
I don't think I would have watched it otherwise.
Beautiful and, surprisingly, really measured.

"...it's all there, that sound, those sharp words, and one must be careful not to mix so much beauty with one's own delusions."
Definitive words, suitable for many "reviews" and comments.
I carve them into a stele, which I will place at the entrance of DeB.
African Head Charge My Life in a Hole in the Ground

I haven't listened to it in a while, I don't remember it being as horrible and "nihilistic" as your words seem to evoke, certainly more compressed and darker than their albums that I loved the most. I hadn't noticed that there wasn't even a page on African H. C.; it was necessary, good job Rocky.
David Lynch Lost Highway

I saw him one afternoon when he came out: I convinced a reluctant Dr. Robert (by the way, a Fluxus guitar) to go to the cinema. And Robi, upon leaving, couldn't stop thanking me for getting him out of his den. A Lynch, more "minor," lateral, I remember him.
David Mamet La Casa dei Giochi
Voto:
Charming, this movie.
Also "Homicide," if I'm not mistaken, worked well.
I enjoyed "Americani" by Foley a lot when it came out, scripted by Mamet and based on one of his plays.

Diegetic evolution: really?

All jokes aside, always impeccable.
But I have to agree with Onirica: what's going on, are you letting yourself be rocked by bitterness, old Joe?
Do you watch bad movies just to enjoy the miraculous effect of a good fresh debut film afterward?

I haven't seen this one, and given the overflowing folder of films to watch, I won’t take the risk.

Well, the premise (which should find some connection with the narration of personal events, and I don't think it succeeds) seems a bit rigid and superficial to me, like a hasty reading both of a period (which I know not by hearsay) and of music that one may not appreciate (or may even despise), as long as one knows it and doesn't use it instrumentally to support a pre-established "analysis."
The album in question was, at the time, the object of my disdain. Now, less than 3 stars is absurd.
Method Man Tical

Well, if I knew where he is, I would ask him to start writing again, because he's good and knows what he's talking about.
