Well, O__O if you're going to be "lapidary," at least use the right terms. Not a toilet, but, as someone has already said, a urinal. And there’s a big difference, there is. Sorry, the joke doesn’t hold. The most significant theoretical intervention regarding the work still seems to me to be the one described here: Another Day on Earth - Brian Eno - Recensione di odradek (the "review" was just a pretext).

I'm not saying anything, Caravan, much less what you are speculating: the little I had to say I said back then. I was just wondering if you were aware of it, and it seemed to me it could be interesting for you to also know his point of view on topics that underlie the enjoyment and "criticism" of music, particularly jazz. Regarding the fact that it was an interesting discussion, I agree with Fusillo, as often happens.

But you, Caravan, have you ever had the chance to follow the Basentineide here in DeB? If not, I think you might find it interesting: part 1 Chromatism - Danielle Di Majo Quartet - Recensione di Raf - and part 2

For me, things "contaminated with rock" are paradoxically the least convincing, and the "Art of The Trio" serves as the most vivid testimony that it is someone who has said something "his own" of some significance, precisely by interpreting "tradition" and "innovation" with a certain energy. However, it seems more like a statement from a "founding congress" of a party that never launched than a comment on DeB.... I'm becoming Doroteo, damn it. - This album was treated rather poorly by some critics; I never gave it too many listens, perhaps influenced. From what I recall, I wouldn't rate it higher than a 4. However, I don't think the problem is what our good Alexx suggested at the end (it's experimental, you either love it or hate it), but rather whether it's a great album or not. I lean towards the latter of what I said.

Thank you, Demian, for the review. I saw that it was for me: a kind thought on your part. Then, as you suggested, I thought about what was holding me back from coming to DeBaser and giving this album the same rating you did, and I realized that nothing, in fact, was holding me back. It was nice to discover that, to discover, I mean, this freedom of movement. So I came to DeBaser and gave the same rating you did. What a beautiful day this is: a review all for me and a sense of freedom at no cost, what more could I ask for?

Well, yes, "The World By Storm" is better, and "Atom Drum Bop" is the one I prefer because I discovered them back then, but you're right to "pull" this one out of the hat, as it's closer to what they were, I believe, especially live. I saw them (and there weren't many of us) because back then I really liked their unique attitude. You surprise me once again with the eclecticism of your choices; I would have never said they were among your listens. And to think I had almost forgotten about them...

The quotes, or rather the snippets of old movies, are so functional, not to mention enjoyable, that they generated a little contest at the time of the film’s release in theaters. I remember that if you could guess all the titles of the various films, you would win something, but since I didn’t know a couple of them, I didn’t participate and I don’t even know what the prize was... - The movie is entertaining, at times reeeally entertaining, especially if you love hard-boiled literature and cinema and their clichés. - @THEJARGONKING: but isn’t this exactly what Facebook is for? To reconnect with people (and names, contacts, and maybe phone numbers...) who have been lost? For the video, never mind, but with a little care, the phone....

I thank Dr. Misogino for the response, which I certainly didn’t expect to be exhaustive, given the vastness of the subject matter addressed by my question. Yes, Bartle, of course reality is tragic, but either one decides not to accept cynicism as a tool (even to highlight, paradoxically, the things you mentioned) or it is deemed acceptable, leaving the reader the option to use their critical faculties. I choose the second option I mentioned. - I have some reservations about Stoney's clairvoyant abilities and his skills as an online psychologist, reminding me quite a bit of the analogous abilities of mail column curators, unlike this one, regrettably true.
