Since I received a bunch of comment notifications from this page, I took a look, mainly to say hi to Ajeje, (by the way, he wasn't satisfied with his own review, even though it's nice) who I haven't "seen" in a long time. But he's not here. Well, I'm sending him a greeting and quoting the post from Contemplazione (hello to you too) above, as I haven’t read all the latest little train of posts. I haven’t listened to Buckley in ages, maybe one of these days...

Well, the keyboardist, who is also a saxophonist, has probably listened to Pearl Jam, but the drummer, Matt Chamberlain, has really played with them. And besides working with Tori Amos and Morissette, he's also played with Mehldau and Frisell(!?) I'm really curious to listen to this little record, coming up soon...

If I understood your description correctly, I think I might like it, I'm looking for it. In the meantime, I found another one, theirs, from 1994, titled "Guest." Read the DePosta. - P.S. Very nice nickname you have.

So, the other night I finished it and stepped out of the book for good. From the back exit of the supermarket, things take a very adventurous turn and we'll see our dead/alive grappling with situations that are, quite obviously, metaphorical, involving cults of religious fanatics and secret military apparatus, genetic research, etc. But the ending, which could have been the biggest problem, I really liked, even though it's seemingly "banal," because it refers to what seemed to me the essence of the book, beyond the plausible socio-political interpretations, and because it's written with effectiveness and clarity, so that the final words fall like a perfect tombstone, evoking a smile, sealing the whole affair. In short, thumbs up.

Well, quite particular, indeed, the tracks of this quartet... it deserves a few more listens, there's so much in it, many references, but it’s lean, not overloaded as often happens in similar endeavors. Thank you very much, Macaco.

I fear I will never get there, dear non-mother Zarozinia, as I am already a non-father. As for decrepit adulthood, I find myself right in the middle, perhaps even a bit beyond; I know what I'm talking about. Naturally, I have this vinyl, like all the Cure's up until the point it made sense to buy them. And of course, since so many years have passed, I look at things with a certain irony, but I don't expect that to be shared.

It was published in the "Millelire" series by Stampa Alternativa, which I believe is the edition you have and is currently out of print. Nuovi Equilibri printed it in '97, and that edition can be found within 24 hours at the price of € 1.00 - Vicolo del Tornado - Burroughs William - Stampa Alternativa - Libro - Libreria Universitaria - 9788872263921 (as usual, remove the spaces in the link) - I'm curious.

This page is delightful and brings more than one smile. Question: are the boxes in question still available (I've never seen one)? - P.S. If Kyra allows me to interject, I find those "d" after "o" before the vowels of the following word to be rather ugly. Let's limit their use to when it's necessary (that is, when the first vowel is also an "o").
