Hey, Socrates... what have you dug up. Well done, because this album is definitely worth revisiting. I'm pulling out pieces of a comment I wrote about the review that was already there, but today I'd be more generous, also in light of my "returns to Andorra" (where in reality I've never been).... surely a fragrance of slight "pop psychedelia" is a defining element of the album, as well as a sunny attitude and, in the solutions of certain arrangements and vocal intertwining, a vague nod to "Canterbury atmospheres," revisited, corrected, and hybridized. This album certainly marks a clear turning point from the previous one and those under the moniker Manitoba, and it seems to indicate a path that could bear more fruit: the pop zone is risky, but Caribou demonstrates skills and qualities that allow him to avoid the quagmire... - In this context, a certainly valid album, between 3.5 and 4." - Today, 4 is abundant. Bye, Professor.

Mr. Punisher, you attribute to me habits that I do not possess. I listen to the things that happen to be playing, and Good Music is a concept I cannot decipher with the absolute certainties that it seems you handle without hesitation. As for the "other activities that fall outside" (which I seem to recall is another fairly recurring element in your writings), I must reiterate to you the information regarding my absolute detachment from such practices. Allow me to emphasize, however, that as far as I am concerned, the record in question is worth far more than your little page. This does not imply any value judgments regarding individuals, whether it be that of the charming singer or your own. Regards

Funny, in over 40 years of visual bombardments of every kind, and especially revivals of every iconographic detail of the chubby little blonde, I had never seen this photo before. I like it. It seems to me a really nice photo. - Then I read the first post and wondered if it was meant to be humorous: I thought that yes, of course, he was an eccentric and outgoing young man. But later someone seems to explain that no, there is some meaning in that bar joke, if one reflects on it. However, I told myself, how many things are learned here about DeB... So I pondered it, I think for 12 or 13 seconds (already a significant effort for my neurons), and yet no, I don't agree. For me, it remains a bar joke, 'that the chubby little blonde has never ever been that big whore. Which, among other things, even if it were true, wouldn't have degraded her, as excelling in a discipline that millions of human beings practice, always and daily, at the lowest and most degrading levels, in the absolute "normality," is anything but degrading for me. I spared myself the rest of the discussion, or rather, I spared it for my neurons, too worn out for further efforts around such difficult themes.

Well, the album is pleasant and, as usual with her, well played, sung, and arranged (excellently, in some instances). And I never really swooned for the lovely lady even back when it seemed mandatory. For anyone listening to a pop album, I believe these are useful elements. Let's say that, if we wanted to use an abacus, it exceeds the pass mark, something more than 3. If someone is looking for who knows what innovations or even the "improvement of their own life," the advice would be, as obvious, to look elsewhere. Unless it's just an excuse to write for the umpteenth time the umpteenth things, adaptable, with these assumptions, to a bunch of stuff. But what sense does that make? - The Jones album, which is a whole other story, of course (but they are really two utterly distant worlds, Gabbox, and I see no connections, not even "iconographic") also pleased me. If you're referring to the one released at the end of 2008, titled "Hurricane." Hi, Gab.

Well done. He was the first to work on the wealth of Eastern musical heritage, such as the Gamelan. He is an atypical and multifaceted figure, and deserves further exploration. I wasn't aware of this anthology; I will look for it, thank you.
