Hi, Il Freddo. I've been intending to see it for a while now, but for one reason or another... I hope it stays in theaters long enough. From what you write and what I've read around, it seems like another great film from a gentleman I highly appreciate. If you're not familiar with his filmography, I kindly suggest a full immersion. If I manage to find it, I'll send you the link to "reperire" an old film of his that I'm very fond of (Ho affittato un killer).

In fact, I’m paying close attention. But if you write about these albums and they give them away, it’s hard to resist...

I've never heard this before, thanks to ZannaB. It's the kind of thing I'm in the mood to listen to right now.

A composer I have long promised myself to explore more deeply, also because he has traversed various phases of contemporary music with an extremely personal approach. So far, I have listened to scattered works in different contexts, even live, but I have nothing of his. I will start from this. Thank you, giovanniA.

@ The cold: I’m writing here an appendix to the comment I left over there. I have a book to recommend to you right away, and it’s a collection of stories (complete). The author is American, and considering the years in which she wrote them, I find the stories perfect, with a very personal narrative voice. In short, I feel like recommending it. It's titled "Small Changes in Living," and she is Grace Paley. Einaudi, Supercoralli 2002, € 17.60. Grace Paley, Piccoli contrattempi del... - CiaU

I'm listening to it again, in the background at the office and in an ethereal version; I don't even know if I still have the vinyl. Better than I remembered, even though it was still a nice surprise when it first came out, especially because back in '77 my confused head was preoccupied with completely different music... Two or three tracks are really remarkable. In fact, I went to retrieve Duncan Browne's debut, "Give Me Take You" from '68, which I believe belongs to a completely different nature. The reviewer did well to highlight Browne's importance; in fact, I barely remember the next album, "New Love," which I think was a dud compared to this one. For the album, which at this moment is surprising my patchy memory with the refined "One Way Night," I would even give it a solid 4.

Of course, I don't know this album either, but the biggest surprise is discovering Sam Shepard's "rock" past (and not a tame one, it seems)! And to top it off, behind "a drum that beats 3000 times a second but never at the right moment." Coincidentally, I'm reading one of his old short story collections, excellent. A nice guy, Mr. Lange...
