Hello, Macaco.

Well, for me it’s guard duty at -10/-15° in the barracks where I was thrown, to stigmatize ideas and temperament that didn’t quite match, the only Turinese among Friulians, almost all tipsy... In my skull, reason takes a tour waiting for better times and discovers the bliss of chaos. I don’t know what that means, but it resembles - This is their more "important," but the one with the highest Talkingheadsiness is "Fear Of Music."

Hi, Kyrielison. - P.S. This little discreet Giulia, who revels in intimacy, this little filly sweating music that can't be listened to, could you lead her, distracted, to the house, yes, but what about this one?
Carlo M. Cipolla Allegro ma non troppo

True, the encounter with this little gem usually evokes wonder and intellectual pleasure. I'll give it a revisit, after more than 20 years. The "Basic Laws of Human Stupidity" haven't changed and I, I'm afraid, neither have I.

I wouldn't even feel like kicking the corpse. Let’s say I run over it with the car. His.

I didn't think it had so many admirers, nor that it had become a "must-read" for students... funny, it was perhaps the first book (the doubt is with "Vestire gli ignudi") that I bought by myself at the age of 11, and I remember I was really passionate about it. I've never read it again, and yes, it should be done.

Well, I’ll steer clear of the debate about the '80s, which is even more boring than the album in question, but while a lot of what you say about her and the little record is undeniably true, the conclusions you draw leave me quite puzzled. Plastic for plastic, the issue is the packaging. Period. That this lip-smacking "starts singing only for pleasure and for emotional needs" to "make us truly feel what she has to say" seems to me a disastrous hypothesis rather than a hopeful one. What the hell could she have to say that's more genuine than what the artificiality of music & character (doesn't) perfectly convey? The most genuine thing is, precisely, the artificiality, given its obvious nature. No, I really have no curiosity about further information - The album is polished, in the terms you well describe, a bit static, overall, indeed, rather boring. Her appearance on David Lett., which I saw some time ago, was quite embarrassing, but over time it will improve (erasing even the TV appearances will be a tough task for her daddy too; she’d better start studying from now on).
Louis Armstrong The Complete Masters 1925-1945

Well, aside from the apologetic tone you've chosen, as others have already pointed out, the substance is indisputable. I myself have "neglected" Armstrong's work for years, only to discover its greatness as I listened more. Moreover, your page has generated interesting and passionate comments, especially regarding a genre not very common in DeB. So there are more than one reason for a well-deserved 5. - Of course, I don’t have the hood you mentioned, but for Fortebraccio, a 5 is the default.

Ah, well, but you’re the one from Dan Berglund and also from Jaga and Bad Plus and so on. Ah, well, then when I pass by DeB I need to check out your stuff, because I didn’t know this ugly record existed. I’ll give it a listen soon, it’s downloading from the stars onto my desktop. Thanks, neh. - PS. Maybe you also liked Food, and maybe you’ve never heard the records of their drummer-percussionist, and maybe you would like them. So: Thomas Strønen – Pohlitz (and read DePosta) ciaU
Joy Division Closer

"The Eternal" is among the very few "songs" that I am sure would belong in an imaginary global top ten if I were to compile one. Not certainly overall; there’s no rational reason for it. I could even come up with 17,413 reasons that would make its inclusion on such a list absolutely unacceptable based on objective, historical, musical, technical criteria, etc. But... - When Closer was released, it felt (it seemed to us) like it was speaking to me. A lifetime has passed (among other things, my life) and today I smile at many things. I could also connect with it (Closer, me at the time, the essence of those years), but the very rare times I've had the chance to listen to it again, "The Eternal" still holds true. Yes, in the top ten. Of all time. Despite everything.
