I quote Polyrock, and I raise with DJ Provenzano's remix of "Su di noi." A must.

Well, first of all, thanks for reminding me. I used to have the vinyl, but I no longer have it and I haven't listened to it in ages. - Then: I just found an anecdote related to Pastorius' passing, who, as we know, died after being beaten up by a bouncer. His father's words really seem... too strong to be true, but they probably are (true). I'll transcribe: "Jaco... ends up with a fractured skull, in a pool of blood, under the karate blows of the thug. He had pissed off the wrong guy. An anonymous bouncer tears apart a genius. Ten days later, the bassist ceases to live: the family decides to unplug the machines that kept him hanging onto a world where Jaco no longer knew how to live. Ironically, his heart will continue to beat for another three hours after the plug is pulled. His father commented with admirable humor: 'I knew Jaco had a good rhythm, but this is too much!' - Well, sorry for going off-topic, but I thought it was worth sharing.

It's the film that gave him the most visibility and a kind of consecration, but the last one I really appreciated was "Nuvole in viaggio," from 5 or 6 years earlier, of which this, which I haven't seen since it came out in theaters, felt like a lesser copy. But it probably depends, as often happens, on having loved his early films very much and a sort of "habituation." The fact remains, which will reveal my now definitively deteriorated psyche, that I adore the protagonist of this film, Markku Peltola. - If you haven't seen it, I recommend "Juha," an experiment in A.K.'s filmography, a silent black-and-white film from '99, I believe.

At 15, I was 38. I listened to Aktuala and Area. Basically, everything that started with A. I was just starting out - Thanks for the tip, Mr. Trattore. Now I’ll look it up, as the trio Gurdjieff/Daumal/Zorn intrigues me.
