Well, King Giargone is right, you’re quite the writing desk, scoretrattinodisottoangel, not even looking too hard, it seems that's good enough as it is. The name of the group and the title of the album are nice too, all those dots on the letters. Maybe the album is nice as well, I’ll look for it now. Bye

So, basically the third album by Olivia? Good, thanks.
Dannii Minogue Summer of love
Voto:
After all these commitments, the starlet Dannii wants to reclaim her share of the audience? And we’re not going to give her that share back? What are we, greedy, despicable, bumpkins? Come on guys, let’s give her that share back, everyone to Dannii's house, she’s waiting for us! "I want to make music but I couldn’t do it before. Now I really feel reborn. I feel like I’m in a personal space where I can do it and in a fun way too." Words from Dannii herself: minogue83 is right, it’s going to be a great comeback, she can do it now, and even in a fun way. Try winning over constipation and coming out so brilliantly! And before you shoot your vulgar and silly judgments, listen to this amazing track, still hot off the press, that she’s put out in her personal space: something to lick your ears for!
Gil Evans Out of the cool (where flamingos fly)
Voto:
Very beautiful page, the album is the gem of a great one (praise be to Gil Evans) and the elegy for Jimmy Knepper sounds perfect. However, as far as I know, Mingus was convicted for that assault; perhaps withdrawing the complaint wasn’t enough to avoid it...
Abbey Lincoln A Turtle's Dream
Voto:
My track, for years, has been 7. I don’t know why. This isn't, perhaps, his best album. But I liked it enough when it came out, and it also contains a great cover of a song by Leo Ferrè, if I’m not mistaken (who knows what track it is). I put it aside a bit, and you give me the prompt to let it take another spin in the player. The last one I got is from 2007 (nice), I believe he was almost 80 years old, passing away 2 or 3 years later. A great character, thanks for reminding me of him.

Damn, you guys are harsh! I like this album too, and I also think it's the best of Blink. So what? Can’t we say that? Do we have to be forced to listen to those boring albums that you like, then go on with all those intellectual pretensions? But at least respect the tastes if you're intelligent! And I even put a BEAUTIFUL one by itself! (I didn’t mean to, I just wanted to see who had put it, but it slipped out, damn it)
The Hilliard Ensemble Perotin
Voto:
Yes, beautiful page, as Chiccotana has now accustomed us to release. I have several discs from Hilliard, not this one; after reading the review, I made sure to acquire it. For those interested, I found it here: ecm 1385 the hilliard ensemble - 1988 Perotin (c. 1160-1240) (ape).rar | Ulož.to

It seems like good stuff, I'm listening to it now. For those interested in certain kinds of music, here’s a nice little blog of peculiar things: stockhausen cancelled
Brian Eno Discreet Music
Voto:
Well, the discussion around the figure of Eno, his undeniable influence on genres/generations, the value of his musical outputs (ambient fluff/not fluff), etc., reemerges, more or less, cyclically in the same terms, in different contexts... I started on DeBaser with a little page on Eno, I believe about 10 years ago, and I intentionally avoided going into the specifics. However, I shared an episode that (despite appearing unrelated to the matter) I believe reveals the very spirit that informs Eno's work on the body of music, on the mechanisms of its production and perception. Essentially, I think it can be summed up by saying that what he did with Duchamp's "Fountain," he did with music. And that's no small feat... Another Day on Earth - Brian Eno - Recensione di odradek
The Chieftains The Chieftains 4
Voto:
Well, it’s really pleasant to read your pages, Chiccotana. I particularly enjoyed this one and I believe it’s an excellent introduction even for those who have never been to Ireland and haven’t really loved the music from those lands, Chieftains included (despite having purchased and listened to various records). Your approach to DeMondo is also beautiful, both for the plethora of rich & enjoyable pages and for the responses and comments. In short, revisiting DeB lately, it’s been a delightful surprise to discover the success of the latest acquisition campaign. Best regards.
