No come on, Berlinguer I care about you, it was truly something else. Fierce, original, sincere, and politically incorrect like the subsequent Benigni (this included), always entertaining, it’s a dream.

not happy, that episode is a quote, certainly not a remake. Oh, it ends differently than Hitchcock's does!
Woody Allen Crimini E Misfatti

absolutely one of my favorites by Allen (for me better than Annie Hall, for example). @Primiballi: it’s true that Match Point revisits the same themes as Crimes and Misdemeanors, but if Crimes and Misdemeanors didn’t exist, how would you view it? but if I were to use this reasoning, 90% of Ford’s filmography would be discarded.

The irony and postmodern quotationism (not that it steals, because if someone steals, they at least try not to get caught...) are exactly the same as those found in Pulp Fiction and in everything Tarantino has touched, from Reservoir Dogs to Four Rooms (does anyone remember the quote about Hitchcock's severed finger?). I wonder why, for example, De Palma isn’t accused of referencing Hitchcock or John Woo (one of the main inspirations for the film) of referencing Peckinpah. For me, it’s a great film, one of the best of the decade, as well as one of the most entertaining. And you don’t simply inject fun and irony by just copying something; if you don’t have your own personality filtering everything. After all, a collage is not just the simple sum of its pieces if there’s a project behind it.

I get you, Poletti, you want to speak ill of the classics and exalt the unknown films :D Jokes aside, when I saw it, I was pretty disappointed too, and what struck me the most was how poorly the film aged. A cult, a snapshot of that epic period, but also mostly a slow and confusing film, a bit dull. Of course, great actors, the trip scene is fantastic, and the ending is beautiful and unexpected (and the parallel with *il sorpasso* is spot on, especially at that moment). But this is a bit of my memory of it.

If I had to limit the field of action to two titles, I would tell you "lungo i bordi" of maximum volume (post rock + spoken texts) and one of the first two by Elettrojoyce, which are both called, needless to say, Elettrojoyce. Not because they are the best, just because I think they might suit you better. Bye.

I can expand on this very little; be careful, as these three are quite experimental. I don’t know the new bands well yet. I also don’t know Ufomammut, but if you like those acid and heavy sounds (I discovered them here). I've listened to some of R.U.N.I (zappa-esque prog), which I didn’t dislike, but those are just impressions. However, I repeat, it’s all very different stuff: on the softer side, much closer to your tastes, or at least potentially more congenial to you, are the first two Electrojoyce, a band from Rome (with what you listen to, you might like them... at least I think so: anyway, they are very "classic" but they have excellent and angry lyrics) and Massimo Volume (more C.S.I. and Marlene Kuntz too, which you might already know). Just a heads up, I don’t know too much.
