Francesco Guccini Due Anni Dopo
Voto:
actually, we won't be there is an absolutely minor piece of Guccini's repertoire. as for the scream, "God is dead" is an obvious quotation.

shocking for God, not shocking

For me too, viva la muerte seems a bit outdated, in the sense that perhaps today it is much less provocative and shocking compared to when it came out, at least as far as I remember. Unlike the works of Jodorowsky, especially The Holy Mountain, which has a visionary power that is still shocking even today (perhaps El Topo and Santa Sangre are less complete works, however fascinating).

The nice thing is that I really like worms too! :) Anyway, I don’t know much about this, even though I tend to trust it. I'm speaking about the last one (posthumous, I believe he died this year or last, still young from cancer if I'm not mistaken, but it’s known that luck ain’t blues) which is truly a great album, "Dislocation blues."

I don't mind the strings of Aries, but it pains me to say it, you're a little chicken :) serious mistake, yes!

Another record I need to get my hands on quickly: I’ve heard the last filthy and muddy record with Lang (not the dashing young Johnny, someone else) and he is truly a great bluesman. In my ignorance, I was reminded of the first Cave and on the other side the Bachi da Pietra (if they were cooler, more imaginative, dynamic and black, and sang instead of mumbling, they would sound like this). Absolutely worth rediscovering; it’s a shame to see only one comment here while there are raving praises for trombones like Clapton.
Laura Nyro New York Tendaberry
Voto:
I have quite a bit to say about the Olympus of female singer-songwriters (it's already been discussed on Debaser) :) However, Nyro is definitely worth rediscovering. It must also be said that compared to Mitchell and Lee Jones that you mentioned, she is surely more lively (at least from what I've heard), and that's a plus in her favor.
Ermanno Olmi Il Mestiere Delle Armi

People I trust say it's undoubtedly one of the best Italian films of the last ten years; I need to make up my mind to watch it.
Steven Spielberg Lo Squalo
Voto:
Spielberg is a great craftsman; he can be quite annoying when he wants to make moral and socially engaged films, often showing a bothersome rhetoric. When he deals with the fantastic and suspense, he excels. It's been a long time since I've seen this one; I liked it less compared to Duel and Close Encounters, but it's still one of his best.
