Henryk Mikolaj Gòrecki Symphony No.3 for Soprano and Orchestra, "Symphony of Sorrowful Songs"

Is it allowed? I'd like to share my thoughts on the topic of grades: Enè, I don’t agree with your judgment on grades. Otherwise, we would all end up giving the same grades to the same things. It's nice to hear different opinions and evaluations on the same topics, and then we're still friends as before. After all, if you know a person's tastes a little, you realize how different a 5 from one reviewer can be compared to another. Of course, right :).
Establishing the "objective" value of an album seems like a daunting task; let's say that if a reviewer has tastes similar to mine, a 5 becomes a great recommendation for legal and illegal purchases. And for this reason, I also prefer a sincere, sometimes naive and ignorant judgment (and the grade doesn’t pretend to offer an objective value but is the very personal opinion of a person) over the opinion of someone who says, "I’m not too engaged by this, but it’s certainly a product of a certain quality," because that doesn’t add anything to what I already knew.
Anyway, I don’t know this, I’ll get it. Kisses from the revived rat.

I'll jump in for a second since you're bringing up Gira... the dark ambient swans? mmm, maybe just on the latest album.

If this album is important, if this album is psychedelia, it’s because of the title track. What you call chaos, Ossian, is psychedelia :) the melody itself isn’t psychedelia (a bit of a rough concept but...), psychedelia is the noise, it’s the chaos that you hear in the title track. And it's not just me saying it, it’s the definition of psychedelia according to many.

Matteo, you don't know me, but I have always loved you.

I also liked Grass: the album, there's little to hum along to, definitely a twilight album. Yet, Mimi sarà and Pane e castagne are beautiful (the former more so), and Pilota di guerra is an authentic overlooked gem, a truly refined piece not only in terms of lyrics but also musically, one of the tracks to rediscover from the prince.

Great album, but inferior to the two major works by Area, Arbeit and Maledetti. In Italy, as usual, there's little struggle, but compared to certain albums released during that time, a 5, and even a 4, feel too high to me. A small note not directed at you: everyone sees Fariselli and Stratos as the minds and leaders of the group, but as far as I know, Capiozzo was definitely more important than Stratos in the composing process, and perhaps even more than Fariselli—let's give credit to Giulio where it's due.
Franz Ferdinand You Could Have It So Much Better

Hi Easy, welcome back :). Uhm, I used to read Musica, and if the bosses in there are the same (i.e., Gino Castaldo), the phrase "to us, Franz Ferdinand seem like the best band of the decade, what do you think?" I'm pretty sure that’s not the case. It's a given. Then, I've heard little from them and I won't express myself, but between your harsh criticism and the praises from Fu Musica (and I don’t know which of the two affects me more), you’ve definitely discouraged me from listening...

You see Odra, and Zion is an expert in the field, not just some random person. But let me ask you a curiosity, when you used to hum it, did you also imitate the voice? :) I can't explain why, but I find it horrible especially when he sings "impossibile vengo dall'universo," don't ask me why and how (I really couldn't explain it), but I dislike that line as much as nails on a chalkboard. Enea does this to everyone, he gives you hope and then breaks your heart, he’s a bastard, men are all the same, you know. Men never change, they talk about love and then leave you alone, men change you and you cry a thousand nights of why, instead, men kill you, and then they go laugh about you with their friends.

You know, Odra, I had to endure it quite a bit, then I won't deny that I let my dislike for him influence me. Dislike aside though (everyone who raved about "sono fuori dal tunnellellellè," does his success really come from lellellè?), I really don't find anything special about it. Anyway, you know very well that "compared to the average of Italian productions" (those mainstream ones like him) you don't exactly have to be a Beethoven to shine...
