Sorry, I'm sick. I take back what I said. Crap, I don't know why I thought it was a live album with Nomadi. This is really nice.

@tabba: "Blair Witch was a very clever commercial operation": true, but almost genius. "\\\\\\\\\\\\ "Cannibal Holocaust clearly inspired this film, it follows its outline" yes and no, there is inspiration but that's it, they are two completely different films. \\\\\\\\\ "the biggest, most important difference is that Cannibal Holocaust succeeds in its intent, to disgust the viewer, while Blair Witch Project completely fails its goal: to scare him.": between the two, I definitely prefer Blair Witch. Fear is subjective: it scared me and, above all, it's a film that has the great merit of focusing on what is not seen. The scenes in the tent, the ending in the house... high tension throughout the film (imho), while Cannibal feels slow and monotonous, with ridiculous and stereotypical characters. And as a film, it is much less disturbing than a lot of other things; it has just reached cult status and no one can shake it from there.

I really enjoyed Ring (I haven't seen the original, to be honest), as well as Ju-on (super scary), and Blair Witch Project. These are films that truly frighten, much more than certain classics, but since they've become hugely famous, they automatically become "bad" in the eyes of enthusiasts (classic line from a fan: "nah, not Ring, check out Session 9", then maybe Session 9 becomes famous and will be downplayed by default). Right now, Japanese horror films are the scariest by far. If you get a chance, watch Kairo/Pulse; it's genuinely one of the most chilling horror films I've ever seen.

Hi Fidia, when you have a good horror movie, let me know :)

Yes, but I found it to be very much a quote-driven style, and above all it removes any tension. The funny thing is that it does this by quoting films full of atmosphere like non aprite quella porta. In short, that style works better for Kill Bill than for a horror film.

Um... I found The House of 1000 Corpses really bad, a well-known and flaccid little film. Rob Zombie has talent, but this movie is absolutely forgettable.

I know and love Lovecraft. And what is this "the cursed house"?

I much prefer the style of no code or vitalogy, even though I've worn it out. Now I see it as a rather naive album. However, Oceans is not bad at all. But wasn't there already a review? Enough with the duplicates.
