But come on, it's a nice review, don't be so harsh. Of course, your style has changed. It's just that you're too much on the dark side of the Force now.

The beauty is that the no makes sense; otherwise, the sentence means nothing. It's the heat, Iside.

here, happy sad is one of my favorites. But have you simply heard the traditional phase and the two completely experimental and beyond discs, Lorca and Starsailor, where he clearly detaches from the singer-songwriter tradition? It's like judging Waits after hearing Closing Time and The Earth of Saturday while completely ignoring the swordfishtrombones, raindogs phase, etc. Only that while Waits (who is one of my favorites too) has always made three-minute songs, Buckley pushed much further.

Come on, what about Tim Buckley? I mean, it’s not a matter of taste. Musically, Buckley is from another galaxy, he is clearly superior to Waits. To put it bluntly.

"The music in De André's songs is generally far superior to that of any other singer-songwriter I have ever heard." And Tom Waits? And Tim Buckley? And Joni Mitchell, Jane Siberry, Lisa Germano, Smog?

I totally agree with surferkangaroo. Even though Dylan had at least a melodic talent that De Andrè lacks. If a foreigner were to listen to De Andrè without understanding the lyrics, they would find him absolutely mediocre (not to mention Guccini…). And I include Anime Salve, perfectly arranged but in a very conventional way. I believe that the only album that truly stands out from mediocrity in that sense is creuza de ma.

Wait, Mr. Green, don't touch Peckinpah. The Wild Bunch, I want Garcia's head, Convoy, Straw Dogs are not exactly light films. Actually, in the western genre, I don't think John Ford holds a candle, I prefer the rotten Peckinpah.
