@XYZ : :)), I smile, understanding your position and the impulsiveness that sometimes takes hold of us when things are particularly dear to us and are not treated as we would like, often unfortunately, in form. And just to stay on the topic of the legitimate possibility of differing viewpoints or positions to clarify, does anyone besides "We're only" have something to say about "Thing Fish," for example? Zappa offers endless points for reflection and commentary, and I believe this controversial work could be a good discussion point. Interested?

Nooooo!! The legendary Dante Cruciani reemerging from the mists!! I can't believe it!!! Hello old whoremonger!!! How are you??!!! What a great pleasure to find you again!! For everyone else: Dante is a GREAT character (and there are others, eh!) from Debaser. One of those who, when he's not around (and I really missed him), makes his absence felt for his style and fine thinking...! Readers are urged to check out his historic review of Madonna's "Like A Virgin" from a couple of years ago. Sublime stuff!!! Did you see, Dante, what I have to do to defend Uncle Frank?! Write to me!!! @Omahaceleb: Hello old gourmand! I'm really happy for what you tell me...; I hope it’s a nice (self) Christmas gift for you. I look forward to your valuable comments. @Muffinman: don't worry, don’t open your arms in shock at the "rock" you encountered. I’d say a good motto regarding this could be: "Tirem 'innanz"... Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays as well! (...and of course to all the Debaserites...).

@Hymnen: Indeed, I haven't replied again on a topic that you have already dissected elsewhere with your persistent disdain and unpleasant manners. Moreover, roaming around Debaser, it has become clear how you are just someone who enjoys stirring up trouble and often pointless controversies with absurd comments, as in this case. I am replying again in this thread because the nonsense/opinions/tastes you write are simply extraordinary. You are the voice that stands out from the crowd, which no one ever misses, thanks to the bullshit you manage to concoct just to justify your tastes or your pride. You always find ways to create a ruckus with whoever you can, driven by your delusion of thinking yourself special. To me, you are just someone who hasn't understood a damn thing about "Hot Rats" in this case. But still, talking to people like you is known to be pointless. However, venting like this does me good. And when it comes to Zappa, as a child you probably only knew the one used in the fields and that you still use to often write your tedious and boring odes to yourself and your useless knowledge. In this case, I'll let you have the pleasure of the last word, because I know how much brawlers like you cherish it and because, again, on this subject with you, numskulls, I am done. We'll hear from each other about your next nonsense elsewhere if it comes up. In the meantime, as intelligent and cultured as you are, have the courage to write at least one review so we can measure how good you are in this role besides being a know-it-all pain in the ass.

@XYZ: when the beer might have perhaps worn off, you might realize that my post is a quoted reprise of another earlier post. This way, you might also understand the allusion to certain "critical" positions expressed by people who have their own "religions" that I was referring to. @Omahaceleb: ...and I'm not surprised that a person of good taste like you would express themselves this way. Merry Christmas!!

@acqualife: I would say that the suggestion focusing on Porcupine Tree is more than reasonable and well-directed. The recommended albums, particularly the psychedelic "Signify," but also the live (reissued as a double) "Coma Divine," are excellent records of a dynamic, emotionally engaging, and creatively rich "prog" with "variable" nuances. And then, the satellite group of the PTs, No Man, with their visionary horizons. Provided, of course, that you already know them!

"...a sound carpet driven on the tracks of formulaic jazz rock with little creativity, a few yawns and nothing more. Same year as Uncle Meat, but it feels like centuries have passed." @ Cucamonga: don't worry, this country is full of people who have a god all to themselves... .

Believe me, Jukan: I haven't heard such a silly conversation in a long time, or rather, I haven't read one :)

A tribute to Zappa, says the reviewer. So be it. The enthusiasm that shines through certainly plays in favor of the intention. However, frankly, what I've read is quite disconcerting in its somewhat haphazard assembly of pieces and ideas. Let it be clear, the originality of the approach even brings a smile at times, and it's clear that a message like this encourages the potential and unsuspecting listener to "try" Zappa. After all, the greatness of the album in question is certainly not in doubt. But let me say that the "old" review by the great PuntiniCazPuntini of Topi caldi on these pages (try reading it to verify) is truly by the book and wonderfully captures the Zappa spirit! PS: Paloz: yours is a good review.
