To Franziska: you see, how in life one must always learn? I had been waiting for a messiah for a long time, but it seems I might have found one..... I won't need to say the "bad words" he (and everyone else) says to feel "normal" and to express myself better; now I think I might finally be able to buy myself a proper house and leave that damp cave which, frankly, was giving me some serious back pain...... How much knowledge, how much experience, how much elegance, how much savoir vivre, and how much meticulous precision can the custodian of truth still teach me? Franziska, I ask you to contemplate the possibility that this messiah could also be your Messiah....... Ah, to conclude, Franziska, let’s connect on some other debaserian place, maybe here it has already been said more than enough and necessary. bye.

Dear Franziska, it’s lovely to read you again while I "haughtily" overlook (because I’m being "chic" on debaser..... while every day I express myself like a troglodyte....) the post above yours. I send you warm greetings and... yes, Syd could be another opportunity to meet, perhaps without dim-witted fools blinded by stupidity in the way. Say hello to the beautiful lands of Tuscany for me (my wife is a true Florentine) but always be proud of your beautiful island. We have a couple of friends from those parts and they are NOT at all comparable to "that other one with whom we fancied we could exchange opinions." Kisses & Hugs (warm) ;-)

Curious how Ossian is truly convinced stubbornly (and as Franziska hinted at with language that could only be described as vulgar) that he has the truth in his pocket and is the absolute custodian of reason. I must agree with Franziska, who, in my opinion, shows more balance and a sufficient dose of common sense that the "thing" has significantly declined in taste, object (apologies to Floydman from my side as well), form, and, worst of all, substance. Well done, Franziska, for distancing yourself from this "character" with whom I have had, unfortunately, the displeasure of "chatting." Moreover, Ossian, you cannot "assume" inaccuracies, mistakes about things where inaccuracies and mistakes cannot exist because what exists is only a sequential and free collection of "sensations" (do you know what those are?) and then when I explain this to you, you come back to say, "why did I take it so personally?" First of all, I didn't take it personally at all (if that has any meaning for you), and secondly, and much more importantly, it worries me to see that you have, unfortunately, not understood a thing. Reading the disgusting invectives aimed at Franziska has confirmed this sadly. I'll leave you to your possible replies, considerations, retractions, offenses, insults. You will not hear any more news from me. That’s enough. Best regards to Franziska. Ah, I almost forgot, I am Venetian. (for whatever that's worth...) :-)

So... a pleasant and meaningful exchange of views; let’s start with Ossian: seeing Pompeii 25 times or Live 8 is not "THE" point and doesn’t mean much, at least to me; if you have parents who can be criticized, it’s your issue whether you want to criticize them or not; PF are a whole different matter, I believe; the "citations" were written purely as a reminder of romantic sentiment, from memory, and with a freedom of interpretation, liberated from the rigidity of a literal translation; If you want to teach me English, be my guest. I taught it for four years to cocky and presumptuous kids, trying to make them (and you) understand that what is truly important in a language is what you want to express. Don’t try to nitpick when, let’s admit it, you had to clarify multiple times on confused, pretentious, or vague statements about one of the monuments of 20th-century rock music. Do you think Franziska and I mind seeing them age and gain weight? Do you think we haven’t noticed that they are no longer as "innovative" and/or radical as they were in 1970? And do you think that’s a good reason to take a bow and start hurling poisoned arrows at them? I repeat, for the second time, Ossian, that you should learn the value of goodness and especially of forgiveness. But I suppose you are still too young to grasp its true meaning. And you don’t need to be either Catholic, or fundamentalist, or a saintly figure to start understanding this simple truth. A distant greeting to Franziska for her long-standing faith in the magic of Floydian sound and an invitation to tone down the heated remarks against the current "proud" interlocutor. Peace, Love & Freedom.

Thanks to Ossian for the clarifications. However, even though they satisfied my doubts, it seems that the "terminology" regarding the quartet somewhat irritated Franziska, whom I can hardly blame. What do you think, Ossian? For Franziska: Happy purification and... enjoy singing together with them ā€œBreatheā€ /breathe in the air, don't be afraid to care..." THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, and I quote it in full and in uppercase because for me it's better than a hyper-brief but hyper-insignificant acronym DSOTM. One of these days I'll crack you into pieces.... The Division Bell is ringing.... I wish they were still here.... Arnold Layne was a really curious guy.... Us... and them... and after all, we are just ordinary people..... however you want to take it, young or old, revolutionaries or conservatives, good or questionable, slim or "fat," quarrelsome or "buddies," innovators or traditionalists, PF are a milestone in the music of the past century (like the Beatles and the Stones) and "slapping" vaguely insulting adjectives on them frankly does them a disservice, considering everything they have managed to create and "give." We should be a bit more grateful, kind, and magnanimous in forgiving any flaws or cracks that, over the years, unfortunately can undermine human or artistic integrity or coherence. Long live them (and lavish dinners!) :-)

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand: you wrote "thank God I was already used to the absence of the Pink": were you thanking God because you were pleased that (finally) there were no more? Is that right? If so, would you kindly clarify this statement? Otherwise, I would appreciate, if you don't mind, further clarification. Thank you :-)

First of all, a thank you for the balance, clarity, and simplicity of Dante's arguments. They have helped me reflect on the sometimes bitter and (it's true!) contradictory gestures of human nature and the unpredictable consequences of actions not conceived with a specific purpose in mind. You mentioned, Dante, I believe not by chance, one of the most admirable and shining examples of human, artistic, and professional coherence; Uncle Frank will always remain in my heart for what he was, what he thought, what he represented, and what he played. Brian, however, is very close to that for me; perhaps the socio-political satire is missing, but that’s okay. Thank you, Dante, I knew you would illuminate me a bit. And to Gabbox, with whom I believe we agreed on "Aerial," first of all, a warm greeting and then a smile regarding the boasts and glories of the hypothetical successes of various humanitarian campaigns. Bono, knowingly or not, naïve or not, does what he can (and what he feels like....). :-)

Well, you could give them a nice 5! Indeed, voting with "just" five votes is insufficient and often reductive. Maybe it would be a good idea to adopt the old school grading system from one to ten. Up to five is insufficient and from six onwards... byebai.
