.....I didn't understand the "Garofolo Rosso" and the "TV 62 pilici": is it a joke, a provocation or what?

I just recently listened to this work again and it is still very relevant. Together with "Mysterious Traveller," it is one of the most striking works from that period of electric jazz derived from Davis. Thanks to a well-balanced rhythm section, it has a unique drive and groove, especially in the two tracks mentioned by my friend Symbad ("Boogie Wogie Waltz" and "125 Street Congress"). The review is not poorly done; it attempts to take stock of the situation, achieving this to some extent, but it provides quite stimulating coordinates for those who wish to deepen their knowledge of one of the monuments of twentieth-century electric jazz.

I mostly agree with Iospine's comments; I just have some doubts about the homogeneity of this work. Putting in parsley, sugar, potatoes, mint, lemon, and salt (all good things), it's hard for me to think of something homogeneous. De gustibus.....

@Mozart61: I would like to know more about this "These are the days." The previous "Canto" felt too cloying and practically unbearable to listen to. Tell me what you think of it, how you would place it, please. Thank you in advance.

I repeat, I have only reported "news events." How you choose to interpret them, whether one way or another, is your undeniable right, of course.

Well... he referred to it roughly like this: "ah... yes...... 'Felocchia and Sorocchia', that can't be a good record, can it?!" and then continued with some thoughts on that tone. I'll let you imagine the astonishment of those present.

@DaveJonGilmour: believe me, during the unfortunate episode with Dei Rossi, I was watching the faces of the (not few) people who were around; I can assure you that disbelief and embarrassment were written on everyone's faces. It was not a pleasant experience.

I don't want to seem inappropriate, but as a part of the Orme, I had the chance to meet the group members on a couple of occasions. I also saw a pleasant show by Tagliapietra (on sitar) with Michele Bon occasionally accompanying him on keyboards. I had the opportunity to exchange a couple of viewpoints with Mr. Dei Rossi, as I met him at the end of a Bill Bruford concert years ago. He was frankly unpleasant and annoying in his desire to ridicule the work done on "Felona e Serona." I was quite astonished by such cynicism and lightness, and in the end, the drummer somewhat backtracked. Upon later informing myself with people who had dealt with him for various reasons, I got the impression that the character was not among the most "easy" and/or cordial. This, of course, means nothing in terms of musical quality; they are merely episodes that occurred to me, and I wanted to mention the memory.

I would be very happy if I could get my hands on the English version of this work. The texts were curated by Peter Hammill. Tagliapietra once told me that it’s very difficult to find, but you never know...

It's really a good question... "what kind of music...", but besides the words used in the review, it's really hard to stick a label on what is contained in "waves". But since it seems to inspire you, just follow the inspiration... .
