Yes Magnification
Voto:
I saw Yes for the first time during the Magnification tour, and I can only let you imagine how I felt when the first notes of "Close To The Edge" started. "Magnification" is, for me, a good album, pleasant, well-crafted, and well-produced; undoubtedly, "In the presence of" is one of the highlights. I may not be entirely in line with Pier Paolo's (contagious!) enthusiasm, but I understand it and I'm genuinely glad that this album excites him in such a particular way. For me, Yes, the "true" Yes, continues to be the "historic" ones from the 70s; the same goes for Tull and Crimso. This doesn't mean I disdain or dismiss the current works of these groups; on the contrary. "Magnification" is indeed a sign of how Anderson and the others were still in excellent form.

Thank you, Pier Paolo; I will take it into serious consideration.

@Dante: I'd also include Lollobrigida, Loren, and Totò. @Robert Fripp: Quatermass is not an album of "great keyboard virtuosity"; Peter Robinson (then with Brand X) was in the same academic course as Emerson, and the malicious said that Emerson was imitating him in the beginning. As for prog recommendations, I would definitely suggest trying out psychedelic neo-prog; start with "Signify" by Porcupine Tree and immediately follow it with an early '70s album by Gracious titled "This is Gracious!". Start like this. One step at a time. Enjoy the listening.

I can only add that I also want to give a round of applause to Elena, whom I greet, for the reissue of one of the most beautiful albums of so-called "easy listening" from the 80s. I was fortunate enough, just recently, to snag it at a convention for a ridiculous price, and I couldn't miss the opportunity. Notable tracks include "Sailing" and the closing "Minstrel Gigolo." He truly had a wonderful voice; and he was also a highly skilled gentleman guitarist. I'm somewhat curious about that "Windows" that I think Pier_Paolo_farina mentioned. But is it really worth it?

incredible pippocalippo !! Just a couple of days ago, on my way back from work, I was driving and listening to Pausini chirping away in the fun show hosted by Baldini & Fiorello. Wow, what a voice! Too bad she sings some whiny nonsense without any substance.... Thanks for the heads up, though; I need to be careful too..... ;)
