Ac/Dc High Voltage

We're not there.. even my grandpa knows that AC/DC are Australian.. aren't they among the fathers of Aussie rock? And not much has been said about what differentiates HV from any other album of the Angus band. Either you agree with those who say that all AC/DC albums are the same, or you help us understand what is or isn't special about HV. Even Bon Scott's mom's guts would say that TNT is "beautiful" and "one of their anthems in concerts." But tell us why. And explain that TNT is one thing (a foreshadowing of what their typical future sound will be, while still being a bit rough around the edges as a track) and much of the remaining debut is another (i.e., the original blues-rock, heavily loaded with boogie and almost Berry-like rock 'n' roll, which in their future albums will increasingly deform, losing its purist homage to the pub-rock tradition). Your shit-shoveler of this crap. And let’s remember "Can I Sit Next To You," which is a true gem.

I’m glad I managed to poke you with that first sentence… :-)) obviously it was a provocation for the legendary rivalry that still lingers between fans of the two groups (or of both). In reality, the Stones and the Beatles are as different as they are complementary: together they would constitute the greatest rock band ever conceived on earth. Sorry if the review seems a bit impersonal and has errors, but I’ve tried to be concise and objective. If I got lost in the pleasures of detail like in the previous reviews, that would be the day the staff kicked me out! And anyway, thanks, nani, for the quick intervention! Kosmo, I’ll be back; now I’ve even got the hang of it… but when… who can say? Enkriko, are you back for good? PS: my nickname is inspired by the residents, not the Beatles, unless it’s a coincidence… let me know if you prefer my reviews labeled as "long" or the more measured ones. I’ll adjust to your preferences. And more pilu for everyone.

sublime choice, and a remedy for the existing review, which said little or nothing. Among my 20 all-time favorites. It's nice to have the reviews next to each other, even though mine looks a bit weak next to yours..! thanks for the surprise, Husker Du, between spleen and Murano, forever unforgettable. Difficult duel with Zen Arcade, but this one beats it for me.

Here ends the ringo-week. Thanks to everyone who casually or not-likely endured it. These 7 reviews were for you, enjoy the reading. I wanted to ask the dwarfs a favor: could the review be retitled to "The Rolling Stones" instead of (uh, I made a mistake) "Rolling Stones"? At least they will all be displayed together. Thanks to everyone, bye.

Beautiful. I’m completely in love with it. I practically adore everything by the Jam (except for a few things from The Gift). And this, well, is one of their greatest works, maybe even better from certain perspectives than All Mod Cons. Impeccable and passionate review. Always valid Zigghio!

The release year is included if it's on the respective page on freedb.org; otherwise, a nice zero is placed here. Since I noticed it in time when I sent it, I added the date to the album title as you can see at the beginning of the third paragraph. For Soc, every once in a while there are also very inspired moments, right? For the record, only two more reviews are missing at the end of the ringo-week, more relaxed and in the effort to be more concise, after the staff's reprimand... fewer thoughts, but I hope you’ll enjoy them. You know, I wanted to set up a forum asking what happened to those faithful companions... who knows, they might have gone into hiding! I miss Odra, I admit it. He used to beautify the comments and was ever-present. Who knows, maybe he’s under pressure too now...

So, the day after tomorrow, I’m diving in to look for it. Are we having a DeMeeting there? Alex, let me know if you already have it or if you can still get in? If so, for which of the two dates? Well, if we form a big squad, that would be great.

Thank you for defining or comparing yourself to a "good friend." After all, for me, you are one, or at least you are a person who, in some way, is similar to me. And that’s no small thing; in fact, it’s a treasure. I wanted to take a more delicate and daring step. I don't have to try to win someone's favor or avoid hurting someone else's feelings… but I would have respected any judgment nonetheless. And it’s nice to see that there’s no need to talk about Paolo Conte or Patti Smith (to give two of my examples) to be read with interest and equally appreciated.

Both in vinyl, first I bought the 45 of Così parlo Zarathustra, and then, having irreparably fallen in love, the 33 of Prelude. A disappointment? Quite the opposite. You have excellent taste, Zion, slightly different from mine, but the boundaries are rather fluid. Congratulations, your contribution always inspires and delights me.

I already have it..!! :-) but could you make me Deodato on CD... I haven't read the review yet, but I've seen it and I'm already drooling. See you there.
