The review is good... In my opinion, it's a nice album. There are clear slagg influences (Bartolino, did you hear?!) in some tracks and they are played extremely well, Chino in great shape (I want to see him live replicating it all). What doesn’t sit well with me: the songs are too short, and Carpenter never seems to vary the pieces even a little, sticking to the riff or his small variations like a tick. The Deftones don’t have to be Tool, but I would have liked to hear slightly more elongated pieces, considering they have the qualities to do so...
