Well, the review is beautiful and interesting in its own way... but the symbolism behind that photo is frankly disgusting for a million reasons (and it doesn’t seem like you need any particular study to understand what I’m saying)! Perhaps we aren’t talking about good/evil, but it’s the (annoying) feeling that emerges from it. In 2010, communists like the Nazi-fascists should have all passed into a better life, yet despite more than half a century passing, we’re still talking about it and that obscene symbolism still haunts political thought.

The fact that the "literary cases" section is penalizing is a given, I believe... I ended up here just because I saw in the comments Gino disapproving Bender, a guarantee of laughs!! :D
The only problem: it’s pointless to argue if there’s no criterion and the decision is up to the editor on duty...
The review is nice (well done en), I like to think the photo is real, even if I’ve also heard that actually, at such heights, there were Indian workers... If it were true, it would really be a work of art (without any intellectual pretensions, by the way... simple and honest, I’d say)!
Ah, I’m also for the protection of Gino: Bartolino, Gino is fine as he is, leave him alone and let him annoy us and not have a scrap of opinion on music, cinema, books, and art in general! We like him this way!
