The point isn't to trash the subject in question (who the hell is it?), the point is to suggest that country music (even the one for purists) has its own value. From Nashville, it's not just rubbish (Chet Atkins? He's not the only one)... in the charts, often (not always), any kind of rubbish makes it. The rhetoric about country (which might actually hide a grain of truth) is the same that others apply to blues, jazz, reggae, and any other music genre.

Gino has now become an expert in country music, in American charts (but when has country ever hit number one????) and in American tradition!!! Country is a genre, like all genres it has artists who are more or less inspired, it’s mixed with other genres and it represents a particular place (while transcending its borders)... It’s neither dull nor silly, the lyrics reflect a popular tradition... respect for country!

I, personally, found it thrilling: "Bobo Vieri and books: an unlikely love?" but also "1000 and 1 books to convince her to give it to you"!

Say what you want, but without Gino, there's a lot less laughter! "Being highly cultured, I must have definitely blared much more than you"... do you dazzle them with quantum physics, with chlorophyll photosynthesis, or with the parapsychology related to the suspension of the unconscious?! :D

I don't get one thing though: how can people criticize The Lord of the Rings and celebrate Harry Potter?! I find both disgusting, but I think Rowling could at most aspire to give Tolkien a nice chokehold.
