1) Keeping up with the times? Ahhhhhhhh, what a nice measure of judgment... for me a good album is a good album. PERIOD. The whole being up to date feels commercial to me, like we're just following the trend.
2) We agree, and it's not the only one.
3) I know, unfortunately many people wanting to make music don't even know what a musical instrument is.

Well, it's not the only crap on the album... which is still nice, just to be clear.

We Only Come Out At Night is ridiculous, they could have spared us from galapogos, thirthy-three is a little single from MTV with a nice video...you figure it out!!!

The ballads or slow songs in "to forgive" are beautiful, but the others are just forgettable... "in the arm of sleep" is stunning!!!! The rest don’t seem exceptional to me...

Yes, in fact, The Prodigy are better; they really kick ass!!! But do you think Maxim actually plays the guitar or does he just use it to shove it up his ass, being a true rebel?!!! Well, who knows... to each their own!

Simple, by listening and agreeing that some tracks really suck! Period. It's still a great album, with many remarkable songs.

Agreeing with the talk about just the CD, it might have been a bit commercialized, but the fact remains that there are quite a few PACCO tracks... Some are unlistenable.

Marcello, it's to forgive, not to forget!!! For the rest, I agree with you and Zion, the sappy ones from the second are unbearable... Still, the fact remains that it has some notable peaks... one album would have been a little gem!!!

mmm I understand... but be careful that Alice and the Sg deserve (but I believe you've already tried this)... the Sg are heavily influenced by Black Sabbath, but only in the more monolithic tracks, listen to 4th of July... I’ll try with surfer and bossa, I'm always open to changing my mind... you never know... ;)
see you soon ngw, looking forward to your thoughts on Tool

Yes, on this we're perfectly in agreement...let's just say that I don't like the pop attitude, the pre-packaged product really gets on my nerves, but that's just how I am, for goodness' sake...I was joking about the encyclopedic thing, I enjoy provoking, you should see the discussions with Francis (you missed the discussion in the forum "Britpop Issue"? Go check it out, you won't believe the laughs)...now I'm saying goodbye...let me know about the Tool...oh, any recommendations on the Pixies? Besides Doolittle?
