I just can't wrap my head around how you see purist Reznor... I don't blame him; I just say he's sharp and capable... but I repeat, if you want to talk about purism, let's talk about Jourgensen, not Reznor and the bella compagnia (do I need to explain who I mean by compagnia????). Singing "God is dead and no one cares," just like Don says, seems a bit silly, childish, and made just to catch some fake heretical dark-kid!!!

caz don't get me wrong, I'm not making a speech about commerciality because that would be bullshit, otherwise, you make the album at home and give it to your friends. I'm just saying that Reznor seems very savvy, and despite being indie, he enjoys enormous credibility, unlike Jourgensen, for example... he's well-regarded as a producer, considered an innovator when he really isn't... Zakk is only noticed within the metal scene today, many don’t even know what Pride & Glory are... Reznor has people who would lick where he pisses, both in the metal (not true) and dark, indie, industrial scenes... he's a big name, come on, that's undeniable!!! And look, Reznor produced Manson's biggest hit...

no one said that Reznor's albums are created for the purpose of selling, I just said that he doesn't seem like a victim of the music biz... look at Mr. Manson... undying in terms of media, Reznor is a drittone, if you haven't noticed, that's your problem... the commercial objective of a double like Fragile?! It doesn't seem very challenging to me, Fragile is much more so Downward Spiral... well, damn, you can't tell me that Reznor doesn’t enjoy more credit than Zakk.. Reznor is much trendier, regardless of whether he wants it or not...
