Well, I was talking about Italy... Mike, I've never really appreciated Nirvana, but I really like that one, everything, from the sound to the lyrics to the riff... Look, man, frankly I always get the impression that tools aren't even noticed by stray dogs (eh eh, we're not talking about Santana here ;) )... ask about Soundgarden and most people's eyes widen, so they ask: "Who, those guys with the faces deforming, whom I saw on MTV?"... Nirvana, on the other hand, is known even by my hairdresser neighbor, who barely reaches as far as "Love Counts" of the national-popular guy...

for sure they played an important role Don, I won't deny it, just like I won't deny that I really like some Nirvana songs (Come As You Are is a masterpiece for me... my opinion)...when I wrote "what the hell is the historical significance" I was referring to this album which doesn't have any, because there are other Nirvana works that had a real impact... this one had an impact with MTV, with the mass of record label stalkers (may the heavens strike them) and with the kids who started saying "how nice grunge is" without knowing there was something else (better for me... like AIC and Soundgarden) just because it was the same damn trend....
