If you had seen them live, I don't think you would have said that... but I'm waiting for them at the gate of the new album too... besides that, they have the desire to play...

I'm sorry, but I don't agree with a single thing. Not even one. They are opinions, for goodness' sake. Let me point out something: would you have preferred to see Cornell enter without a shirt like a "true rockstar" as in the past, or in ripped jeans and a black t-shirt in true grunge spirit? That would have been a nostalgic look, and quite vulgar too. He has all my respect, as do all the others in the band, for showing up however they wanted, not caring about "well, I expected..." Then I'll always say this here: saying that Soundgarden didn't innovate anything means you haven't understood a damn thing about what they play. I mean, it’s fine, you don’t have to be a musician to judge music, but the point is that sometimes it helps to ponder a judgment. For me, Soundgarden is the best band of the last 20 years (along with Tool) without any ifs or buts, to the extent that finding clones of them is impossible (unlike AIC, whom I adore, but who have been heavily imitated)...

Come on, Mad, you know I love to stir things up, and I knew you'd come rushing in like Silvio at a high school party! Seriously: I completely agree, they (almost) have nothing to do with each other. I can't stand either of them that much: too radio-friendly, too Beatles-esque the Oasis, too much of a poor jerk Liam (and indeed Noel's little disc seems really good to me, but I should listen to it more carefully); too pop and flashy (with that air of peripheral English intellectuals) the Blur from the early part of their career... in the second half, they redeem themselves, but it’s all referencing, and they've never lost that quest for the right chorus, even when they started using dissonances and distortions, and their choruses make my balls drop! I can't help it!

I've never understood why listening to Blur means being "someone who understands music" while listening to Oasis means "not understanding a damn thing about music"... as far as I'm concerned, both bands are worth nothing! But if I had to choose, neither one nor the other—better solo Noel!
Matthew Weiner Mad Men: Season 1-4

No, no, I haven't watched it all, actually, I want to buy the box sets. I get bored watching them on TV, with ads, you can’t stop whenever you want, you can’t miss an episode… it’s really an excellent product, at least that’s the impression it gives. By the way, I didn’t understand why you didn’t give it 5 stars. But have faith, take a look at The Shield and The Wire: The Shield is the best compromise between realism and spectacle, The Wire is hyper-realistic but lacks a bit in terms of pace (imagine filming a stakeout for hours…). Both are set in urban environments, one in L.A. and the other in Philadelphia, and both are crime dramas… I’ll just tell you that the last season of The Shield is considered the best series finale ever, the actors are exceptional, and I assure you, it won't take long for you to notice. Plus, it features Franka Potente, Glenn Close, and Forest Whitaker, who went to great lengths to be part of it… the Mad Men guys aren’t just random actors; that was just a provocation, but the actors in The Shield and The Wire are truly top-notch!

Not to repeat myself, but forget the rest and watch The Shield and The Wire... the rest is garbage in comparison, even though Mad Men is a great product (but the actors in Mad Men look like amateurs next to those in The Shield and The Wire)...

The review is still good...it's well-written and easy to read...just to tell you, the listening to Def Leppard wouldn’t redeem Italian listeners, on the contrary...and anyway, avoid talking about criticism here and take a look around the reviews, because here you only find fans who often have much more to say than those poorly paid writers who publish in magazines whose value is 0!

"Appetite, an 'objectively' overrated album": sure, but get over it, you’re mad because no one’s making fun of you (and you don’t even realize it), and then you expect to pass judgment! Appetite is the only album among all those you mentioned that has value beyond the trend of the moment, if you don’t understand that, it’s your problem (too bad only sixteen-year-olds and wannabes listen to it, but then again, that’s the same fate others have met, and not because of them). The best of Mötley remains the self-titled one, which coincidentally, all the idiots who dress like Nikki Sixx's dopplegangers thinking they’ll get laid like him (in their dreams…) don’t care about because it didn’t talk nonsense and didn’t sound stupid like 80% of their discography. Def Leppard are a good arena band, that’s it, songs to get your butt moving and ballads for making out, better than those clowns Bon Jovi, but we’re in the same ballpark...
