George Orwell 1984
Voto:
total masterpiece, I wouldn't know how else to define it, but total in every aspect—content, meaning, and also writing style. Because it has a writing style, and it's so effective that it gives you chills... I’ll avoid going deeper into it here, but not recognizing Orwell’s style is impossible; at most, one might not appreciate it. The fact that it’s recommended to middle school kids (hi Talkin meat, it’s been a while since we’ve seen you here, if I’m not mistaken...) doesn’t hold much significance; I also read it in middle school and grasped 1/1000 of everything that’s in 1984, and, frankly, this book becomes more relevant every day. In our 1984, it could even be seen as delusional. Instead, it is terrifying and prophetic; there’s no other way to define it.

I will never understand those who prefer South Park to Family Guy, but that's okay, the world is beautiful because it’s diverse, swallows, springs, black rhythm sense, etc.
However, I suspect that half of the people who judge Family Guy poorly, beyond this sheep-like movie, don’t really get the cartoon at all...
Peter is brilliant in his madness and obvious delay, Brian/Snoopy likewise, Stewie is a blast. The stories were initially just a backdrop, but they have actually evolved to the point that today, if you’re not following the various storylines, you’re lost.

Well, for me the 16 horsepower were even better, but maybe I'm one of the few who thinks so...

I don’t know, am I the only one who feels disappointed? I get that the Cohens are like saints, just like Lynch, but they completely misrepresented the content of the book, to the point that, as Caz says, the title has nothing to do with it! It almost feels like an action movie.. meh.

Extraordinary man, in every sense, beautiful review...well done.

beautiful beautiful... as always! Well done, freddo... you say a ton of very true things, one above all: there is no best in tennis. Lendl crushed Agassi throughout his career (to be honest, I think Lendl was muuuch stronger than Agassi), but he would choke 2 times out of 3 against Becker, who in turn would inevitably lose to Agassi... strange and beautiful sport, tennis.

I'll give you the reasons to not be proud of being British... well, captain, come on, this one could enjoy a nice retirement, there are those who appreciate him and those who think he's just a pain in the ass! The world is beautiful because it's diverse.

After the poet and the various bullshitters, now Deb can praise a fine sociologist! It only took a line to express a concept that's already known (and on that, I agree with you). The film is simply one of the best thrillers ever made. Dark, what did you drink this morning? Grappa? RFAD has little to do with this, and yes, it's much more disturbing, but for different reasons...

Here there's not that crappy song "hole in my soul," one of the most ridiculous and pathetic things I've ever heard?! For goodness' sake...the only good thing was the video with Eva Mendes (what a woman!!!!!!).
Awful album, and to think they also wrote great records when they were younger!
