Yes, I mean, sorry for the dyslexia, what I meant to say is that I prefer the second part of the career!

In my opinion, Songs of Faith and Devotion gives it a run for its money...great review...really.

I don't know... I'm convinced that he and the others have been waiting for the right moment and, above all, the right substitute! I don't think they need money... they can live off their earnings for at least a good ten lifetimes!
On the MS album, there are also McCready and Barrett Martin, along with Lanegan... I believe no one knows how much each single member has contributed... and anyway, as far as I'm concerned, Above is beautiful but I wouldn't trade it even for the worst AIC album! Clearly, that's just my opinion!

Don of no relevance is all to be proven...maybe you didn’t like me, that can happen, I found them excellent! The unique element that made Alice in Chains special was the instrumental harmonies (which were provided by Cantrell) and the vocal harmonies (which were created by Staley and Cantrell when they sang together)...then, that Layne had an incredible voice, it doesn’t take a genius to understand! But if you listen to some songs on the new album, you'll discover how much of Cantrell there was and is in AIC...with the new material, the vocal harmonies are once again spectacular...1+1= Cantrell has an amazing voice!

Plastic production?! I thought Alice in Chains' productions had always been excellent... I don't know, it seems to me that whether they want to or not, some people will always complain, and maybe that's just as it should be... but I don't understand: if you distort it, you're a heretic; if you change, you're a traitor; if you evolve, it's because you're copying; if you stay the same, you're an old mummy who only cares about money and keeps recycling the same stuff for convenience!
47, why do they sound less incisive to you?! I'm asking out of curiosity, just to be clear... I believe the beauty of AIC is that they still sound more current than ever. And personally, I think AIC's albums have aged 100 times better than Nirvana's, just to throw that out there... and anyway: I ALREADY HAVE THE TICKET!!!!!!

Dark, how long are we going to keep going on about this fundamentalism... Feel Private Hell, a looking in view, and realize that they are still the same, that the new album promises not just good, but AMAZING, that the nature of the band hasn't changed, that Duvall isn’t imitating anyone and that the duets with Cantrell remind us a lot of the old vocal harmonies... And I repeat, put yourself in Cantrell's shoes, who has practically written, if not everything, almost everything... Why should he deprive himself of that? Just because some fans play the radical sentimental moralist (not referring to you, just trying to make you understand)?

ALexx, I just did the same thing, and I really can't believe it, but they are still them...there are spine-tingling moments...and Duvall and Cantrell together are divine! I don’t want to repeat myself, but the name AIC also belongs to the other three...if anyone thinks they’re doing it for money, or that they’re desecrating the name AIC, just don’t listen to the new stuff, don’t waste your time...

One last note regarding Staley's words about the bandmates: dealing with a heroin addict of that level must not have been easy for anyone!
