I'll add two things: I've already said it and I'll repeat it, with all the money that Cantrell, Kinney, and Inez made they could have been chilling on a Pacific island sipping mojitos for at least ten lifetimes! For me, there's very little commercial appeal (maybe just the chorus of check my brain), long pieces, slow tempos, and that morbid tone typical of the group! And in fact, there's no radio that pays them any mind, not even that little Jap from Virgin!
Second, the choice to bring in Gilmour led the Floyd to write Meddle, The Wall (but, depending on tastes, you could practically cite all the others)! Not much...
"Neptune" is one of the tracks where Staley really shines, but the (BEAUTIFUL) guitar riff and all the music are by Cantrell. I don't know if he agrees. ;)

I know, bartle, I'm a fan of human cases, I really liked the free nominations too... since Nick stopped showing up, no one keeps track of the stats anymore! The Poletti list was one of the gems of Debaser, a bit like Francis's list of the 10 best albums of 2005, with Don't Believe the Truth by Oasis at the top! :)
