Nine Inch Nails The Fragile

First of all, I wanted to make it clear that I don’t have anything against NIN and their fans; I bought the album with good intentions, listened to it many times for over two years, and then, unable to find anything in it, I gave up and sold it. With the money I made, I bought a collection of the old material by Einstürzende Neubauten, the ones who made music that was worth calling “industrial.” I know many also define NIN's music as “industrial,” but for me, at most, the industrial sounds are an element of their crossover, an ingredient. To me, Reznor's voice and singing are typically American rock (metal, hardcore, hard rock) while his electronic music tends to mix various European trends (industrial, krautrock, new wave, ambient, techno). Excuse me if it seems to me like water mixed with oil. Do you remember a clarinet riff by Raul Casadei picked up and placed in the middle of a Native American chant? That was what I meant by not being blended; I know it’s a matter of perspective, but this is mine. Long albums are not necessarily boring, but I prefer those with a well-selected tracklist rather than those stretched out with fillers and missed b-sides, especially if we’re talking about monolithic records like this one. To PuntiniCAZpuntini: recycled rap was not referring to NIN; it was part of the preamble.

For me, Loved at least equals this album, if it doesn't surpass it.

A discreet record, but every now and then a yawn slips out.
Elisa Pearl Days

Elisa's only quality is her professionalism; other than that, if she weren't Italian, no one would pay her any attention: in America and in England, there are thousands of singers like her.

Bluvertigo Zero

I liked Bluvertigo back in the day, but perhaps they were a bit overrated. They are very professional, but certainly not musical geniuses: their proposal is overly referential and derivative. Nonetheless, this is their best album.

Really good album. On at least half of the tracks, the punk influence is still very much present. The next two albums are even better.

From the sample, it seems to me that it's the usual gothic nonsense and not good music. At least now I know I should avoid them.
