Oh, guys, have you heard! He's so convinced of his judgment that he doesn't even sign! Let's not contradict him, let's not waste his time, since he has to listen to his favorite album: Orietta Berti & Nilla Pizzi - Live in Montecatini Terme 1940.

I think that those who truly appreciate Queen and not just "Radio Ga Ga" or little else do not deserve this insinuation. You may have grown tired, but that doesn't mean there aren't other people interested. Anyway, I reread it and I understand it quite well, and I quote you: "new or old fans of Queen have become what they were not 15 years ago or before: touchy! this is perhaps due to the fact that they began to take an interest in their music after Mercury's passing, empathetically following the hypocritical media dance born around his life as an AIDS patient." So, according to you, the fact that someone defends their tastes (because that’s what this is about) is due to the fact that the artist in question died of AIDS? Sorry, but I just can't follow your train of thought.

Ah, thank goodness... I was almost worried that no one would say anymore that Queen fans are such because Freddie died of AIDS! Now I think all the clichés and commonplaces have been said. Or is there still someone among you who wants to bring up another one? Bets are open!

Queen II is my favorite album, the one I can listen to endlessly! It is absolutely brilliant and above all ORIGINAL, unlike what many of you have said. I noticed that many of your responses follow the trend of criticizing Queen; it is equally clear from them that none of those who expressed such views have ever listened to Queen II, which is evident from the generality of the reviews, copied and pasted here and there from the great stalls of the web, where critics sell themselves for a few cents a minute. It is truly disheartening to see people writing here without having listened to the work in question and launching into the usual fair of clichés about Queen copying Led Zeppelin and Bowie, that they were commercial, but Freddie had a great voice, and so on. On the other hand, I'm not too surprised, given that it's known that many people speak without absolutely knowing what they are talking about, following the philosophy of being there at all costs.
The fact is that lately, it’s enough to record something minimalist and musically nonexistent (and unbearable!!!!) to make you shout genius, while Queen are called baroque because they produced complex music, because they knew how to play well with harmonies and overdubs, because they were majestic. As if two dark lines on a white page were better than a work by Caravaggio, as if Marinetti were better than Dante because innovative and modern!
Anyway, I wanted to express my warmest congratulations to the commenter who made the joke about Freddie Mercury's backside: a true delicacy that could land him a position in the editorial team of Novella 2000 as the official commentator on scoops.
Beyond all, Queen II is a masterpiece. Period.
