I simply don’t have blinders on..! Ok.. QUEEN are my favorite band, they were the FIRST band I appreciated and for which I bought the entire discography, and they were the band that made me discover music..! That said, I repeat, I don’t have blinders, and even though they are my favorite band, I can calmly and objectively recognize when they’ve made some mistakes (and they have..)! We need to be a bit open-minded.. and admit the mistakes of our idols too..! And not have our eyes covered with ham.. just because they are our favorite band..!
P.s.: In short.. fans who are TOO FAN aren’t appealing to you..! You don’t like objective and open-minded fans?? What do you want? ;-)

Yes..you're right CLAUDIO..it was also right to vary the styles from album to album and adapt to the changing times but..you can’t tell me that A KIND OF MAGIC, RADIO GA GA, I WANT TO BREAK FREE, BACK CHAT, STAYING POWER, etc..etc..are masterpieces..right?? These are just simple chart-toppers comparable to the trendy bands of that time..!
The real masterpieces are songs like FATHER TO SON..PROPHET'S SONG..LIAR..NOW I'M HERE..etc..!
As much as I love the '80s songs by QUEEN, as much as I adore the '80s in general, and as much as I love QUEEN..still..I try to be objective..and I say that most of the QUEEN repertoire from the '80s..is simply chart-topping POP..! But..of course..they're nice songs..and they're enjoyable to listen to..!

My name is INNUENDO because I like the word..! And not in honor of QUEEN, who, when it comes to nonsense, have done much worse than U2..! I admit this freely because I have an open mind..!
The fact remains that if a person has listened to masterpieces like BOY, OCTOBER, ACTUNG BABY, and generally all their material released before 1991, they CANNOT say that ATOMIC BOMB is a masterpiece or deserves 5/5..! It’s blasphemy!!! Let’s be honest.. come on..!

Well... the fact is that this album is crap... like few others have been in the history of music..!

You admitted that maybe the QUEEN are not the best (and that’s fair.. everyone has their own tastes.. and I fully agree with you..) but at the same time, you also said that one cannot fail to recognize their great value..!
Unfortunately, the genre of QUEEN cannot be categorized in a single word because, in fact, they have embraced a thousand different genres..! From the Hard Rock of their very first albums, through Glam-Rock, with some hints even to Vaudeville... to Opera... to Synth Pop (in albums like Hot Space..)! They certainly are not and will never be the best band in history..! But I believe they have still been quite important (but NOT essential..) in the history of music..!

I completely agree..! I have no problem with being told that the QUEEN of the '80s suck.. they're commercial.. with few ideas.. etc.. etc..!
But no one should touch QUEEN 2..! It's a whole different story..! A salute!!

The single has just been released... it's called HOME..! I think it's really good!! It has their typical style with the drums and CHARLIE's guitar front and center!!! Quite an engaging rhythm!!! ;-) Legendary!
