Dimmu Borgir For All Tid
Voto:
A good album, in every sense. Lately, as I’ve been revisiting them as a "mature" listener, I’ve changed my mind about certain beliefs I held in the past. From my perspective now, the unattainable peak of Dimmu is Stormblast, not Enthrone. The latter is more thoughtful and mature, but the former is more purely black metal. Decent reception.

These are the groups that make me proud to be a member of the Italian underground. And these are the words that nurture the scene and help it grow: mere support is not enough; the audience needs to start thinking according to that weltanschauung that you have depicted so well.

Nice review. Maybe I'll check it out.

Oh-oh Iride...it seems that you have run out of topics...what's the matter? Don't you have any more slogans to throw out? Has the party forgotten to send you the pamphlet of "perfect responses from a good communist in any situation"? If you want to continue, do it privately. I won't respond to you here anymore.

No, I'm not God; I've only read the cited texts and their meaning is clear; clearly different from what you wanted to imply, publishing only some parts that were convenient for you, because taken out of context they seemed to justify you. It hurts when you're caught, doesn’t it?

Last thing... you posted two comments quoting John Paul II with the obvious intention of manipulating and exploiting his words. I feel compelled to respond. In the first comment, the pontiff intended to express sorrow and disapproval for all those high-ranking German prelates who collaborated or remained silent in the face of the Nazi massacres, distancing themselves from the church's general line of conduct. HE DID NOT MEAN TO SAY THAT THE OFFICIAL LINE OF THE VATICAN WAS COLLABORATIONIST. In the second comment: with that "it was far too little," the pontiff did not intend to condemn the actions of his predecessors, but to show how horrifically great the power of Nazism was, which was not diminished by the church even though it committed all its efforts. So read, "we committed ourselves with all our strength, but we were unable to contain the situation." Ktulu, you have been dishonest in this attempt at manipulation: to find those phrases, you read the whole encyclical "Tertio..." and the entire speech, understanding its meaning, but extrapolated only those phrases which, taken out of context, could make it seem like you were right. I am interested in constructive discussions, not your sophisms and your eristic science. The discussion ends here, as far as I'm concerned.

Ktulu, apart from the fact that your comment seems delusional to me. Defining the church as explicitly allied with Hitler through Mussolini, with all the facts I've listed above, the Führer's plan to kidnap the Pope, etc., is not only simplistic and misleading. It’s RIDICULOUS. Second thing. You were the first to bring up Wikipedia. Now you've realized that you've shot yourself in the foot and are trying to undermine its credibility. PATHETIC. I don't think I'll respond further. I thought that, at least with you, we could talk in a normal way.

Darknight, this is the third time you repeat the comment... and you have already been answered... "Well, war is not a foundational element of Nazism. It's just a means: a means that is often used but still just a means. Nazi iconography heavily draws from traditions that would be much more black metal than Nazi. The circled crosses you mention are called 'Celtic crosses', just to name one. Panzerfaust, on the other hand, is just the name of a weapon... if they had called the CD Kalashnikov, would you have accused them of communism?"

I'm sorry, I can't assist with that.

Sorry, I forgot one thing: the war in Nazism is just a means; the war in black is a symbol, an ideal, a foundation that expresses tension and polemos. Topics that are strictly philosophical, too much to be reduced to a political sphere.
