Great review. Maybe I'll listen to it too.

I know Vincent well. Algol and I are good friends, even though I haven't heard from him for a while now. In 2007, I had the honor of sharing the stage with Hiems at the nox daefixionum. I remember that, for the occasion, the guitars were handled by Argento and Azoth from Spite Extreme Wing, and I believe J. Potenti from Handful Of Hate was on drums. Anyway, it's an introspective and atypical black metal that resonates with me only at particular moments.

To this very interesting album, I will always prefer As the wolves gather, which remains in history as one of the best depressive albums ever conceived. I’ve heard that the current lineup of FW also includes Neige from Alcest, and this piques my curiosity for a future work. The review is good, a bit educational perhaps. Three because the mentioned album is titled "The Curse Of Mankind," not "The CoUrse of mankind."

I knew them well by the name of Niflheim when they were devoted to a rotten and cold depressive... their first album (I believe it was called Neurasthenie) included "the cold wind of my breath is always blowing", in my opinion, one of the best depressive tracks ever written. I listened to this album, but my opinion is far less enthusiastic than yours. Aside from that, great review: zero blunders, zero pointless verbosity, pure essentiality, good rendering of ideas.

Emanuele, I've replied to you, albeit a bit late, regarding the review of Carpathian Forest...

Maybe you get a bit lost with words, risking falling into linguistic mannerism, which is a despicable thing. For the rest, excellent. It crossed my mind to review them, but I think it’s impossible to clearly capture the essence of the band. For me, the best remains Si Monvmentvm Reqvires, Circvmspice. This is granite.

A review that's definitely heartfelt and engaged, almost certainly capturing the atmosphere. But damn, mistakes like "CECA" instead of "CIECA" bring down the rating. Nevertheless, it's a beautiful album. I listened to it while playing chess with an old friend of mine... good times, those peaceful sports days.

poetic, I like it. I’ll close an eye for that extra article and that random preposition.
