Who doesn't need to pamper themselves every once in a while? Music seems like a great way to do it :-) Well done zzzzzzzzz! The review is really "ganza," I don't know the album.. but I will make sure to check it out...

I also really appreciate simplicity, and I must say that this album is truly simple and "fresh"... in short, very nice! Thanks for the recommendation :-)
Steve Vai Alive In An Ultra World

What a stunning concert! I admit, I was literally dragged there because I barely knew Steve Vai and thought that a guitarist's concert was something for music connoisseurs (which I certainly am not) or for guitarists who go to see and praise the master. Nonsense! He is truly talented, and I was "captivated" yes by his virtuosity (what a shock when he started playing with his tongue), but above all by his music. Lacking in emotions? Are we joking? Some pieces send shivers down the spine even for those who understand nothing about technique!

The comment above is mine, sorry but I don't like hiding in anonymity. Of course I make a mess...what can I say? I'm a chronic scatterbrain!
Carmen Consoli Live Milano PalaMazda 18/09/2003

I’ve seen Carmen 4 times in concert over the last 4 years and it’s always been a new emotion. I also think she has improved both in appearance and in her connection with the audience, but it’s definitely the music that "hits" the hardest. On January 29 at the Zoo (Ferrara), she pissed me off because she left without signing autographs and didn’t even say goodbye to the crowd waiting for her outside the dressing room... well, maybe she was in a hurry or had some kinda b.l. issue! I’m also fed up with the loud girls; some songs are meant to be sung, while others deserve silence, and the squealing during the songs should be banned!

Sorry for the mess I made with the apostrophes and quotation marks... I thought there wouldn't be any issues copying the texts from Word :-)

I adore Carmen, her music, her words, the emotions she conveys. I don’t have a real preference among the various styles nor even among the individual songs; rather, my preference wavers between her albums depending on the periods, or rather the moments I'm experiencing. However, I must admit that her live performance in the "angry" version is spectacular; she expresses all her grit and energy! I’m glad that for her there are no in-between options (hated or loved), because it means she has a very strong impact on the audience and stands outside of mediocrity. I also add that all the GREAT ones are always heavily criticized, and the important thing is not to provoke indifference. The comparison with Grignani, on the other hand, grates on my nerves a bit: if Mr_Iko & Co. would stop, they would show a greater musical culture as well as a more sensitive spirit ;-)

Beautiful review, very heartfelt! From this album, I would also like to highlight ā€œNovembre ’99 (l’isola del tesoro),ā€ which, better than other songs (even ā€œEquilibrio precario,ā€ where the crisis is openly declared), testifies to the ā€œbreaking of the balance,ā€ that crucial point at which one either reacts or sinks. The condition of precariousness is perfectly conveyed through the words, the truly nostalgic notes, and the wintry backdrop that pervades the entire piece; yet the vision is never completely negative; even in Carmen's darkest songs, there’s always a ā€œsubtle glimpseā€ of light. I cannot omit commenting on ā€œStato di necessitàā€ and ā€œBambina impertinente,ā€ through which the Cantantessa unapologetically expresses the most carnal instincts of the human soul, up to ā€œNarciso,ā€ which is much sweeter, sensual, and veiled, but equally infused with strong desire and passion.

Fantastic! Landing on de-baser and finding three fresh reviews of the Muse concert. The real strength lies in reading them all and extracting the different points of view... from the sum of the stories, it really feels like you were there. My rating for donz is due to my weakness for spontaneity/immediacy and for the seemingly useless details.
