This album is musically very rich. Commercial? Maybe... but I believe that Ben wanted to convey his message of "love for the world" to everyone this time. Was he also interested in money? Perhaps, but to say that Ben Harper is "in it for the money" seems premature and excessive to me! Controversy aside, this album is certainly not the best for approaching Ben Harper, nor is it one of his best works. "Live from Mars," "The Will to Live," and "Fight for Your Mind" represent him much better... truly stunning! Of course, to love him, you need to see him and listen to him live :-) So, if you know Ben Harper and this album disappointed you, I can understand; if, on the other hand, all you know about Ben Harper is this album, take a dive into the past before judging it. Long live Ben and his Weissenborn! :-)))

I listened to this album while reading the story of El Eternauta... truly evocative! I didn't know either the CD or the comic (maybe while you were reading El Eternauta I was still into Pimpa :P) and now I'm just missing the movie. Beautiful review, very ethereal...

"He went to a scientific high school and feels like one of the first things I thought about Morgan. This album is very beautiful; when it came out, I believe I wore out the CD. Now it’s been stolen along with another 60 original and non-original ones, but I’m slowly putting them back together... OH GOD WHAT HAVE YOU MADE ME REMEMBER!!! Months have passed, but the pain is still so vivid that I keep thinking about the tortures I would inflict on that thief of... beep... beep... The review is really beautiful... but it's an ATTACK! With this CD and a bit of sunshine, I would seriously risk giving it all up and heading to Mexico... what a story... ;-)
