The story is quite amusing and dedicated indeed. I keep wondering why you say I'm not in that review...

"Have you ever heard the demo that Waters played for the other members of the band????" but do you really think I’m going to sit through Waters' demos???

amateurism, um... if I'm not mistaken, professionalism is paid for, and it doesn’t seem like that's happening on debaser. or maybe it is?

The fact that my arguments are null weighs the same as saying that geriatric rock is awesome, and if on the other side of the windmills there's the untouchability of an absolute masterpiece that can only be reviewed by Descartes, I am proud to give voice to the Don Quixote within me!
I can't wait for Moonchild to review RunDMC!

x stabilo: You can't take the reference to Joy Division and decontextualize it like that. I mentioned the JD because I believe that Ian Curtis is a more reliable (and more sincere) spokesperson for the struggles of life under Thatcher than a forty-year-old billionaire. With zigghio, we talked about how the post-punk scene was one of the most effective in representing alienation, dissociation, etc., and in my opinion, an album that addresses certain themes in the same period (with less force, because don’t tell me that the PF in '79 are at their peak) automatically lends itself to an unfair comparison. It’s not that I’m against rock works as such: in the early '70s, this was one of the most congenial ways to express certain discomforts, and I find that The Wall came out a bit too late.

As for the fact that The Wall is a subject of academic study, I don't think that's enough to make it an UNASSAILABLE WORK. I don't know this Gianfranco Salvatore, and it's quite possible that he is an enlightened mind, but the idea that someone teaching at a university can't be an idiot, well, let's talk about that...
Oh, by the way, did you know that Madonna is a subject of academic study at American universities (and not just there, I fear)?
