Got it, kosmogabri. Then I advise you not to look at the cover of "Babyfingers" by the Residents...

It doesn't remind me of any advertisement... on the contrary, I find it very "alienated as it should be," perfectly in tune with the music and vaguely residents-esque...

I would have liked to review this album myself... beaten to it! Congratulations on the choice (and on the debut, dear Mike76); this is certainly one of the least appreciated chapters of that strange adventure that was the Italian new wave. Will the next one be Chinese Restaurant by Krisma???

Good job, ege! I've listened to this album just a little (fresh off the download), but it seems promising... If I'm not mistaken, the Residents had a hand in this debut, right?

I'm a bit struggling with the Jeffersons... the instrumental arrangements are splendid, but I've always found the vocal harmonies a bit annoying (mmmh, Slick, so frustrating!!!). Anyway, I prefer Crown of Creation to this album. How can you say, Psycho, that Pet Sounds has aged poorly? (keep in mind that even in 1966 it had a vaguely "old-fashioned" taste) I find that album absolutely timeless.

"Punctured bicycle
On a hillside desolate
Will nature make a man of me yet?" how long has it been since I last listened to this album!

"A winter’s day
In a deep and dark December;
I am alone..." my absolute favorite!!!

"Progressive was becoming just empty virtuosity; the more it evolved, the more it complicated itself, it was becoming unbearable <- It was becoming magnificent, far from unbearable." Okay... so who’s coming to play with the Lego?

Yes, damn, I can read. Of course, you never said "I fear punk" (and I would never expect you to admit it): it's a deduction that I've personally allowed myself to make, given all the violence you've expressed against the movement in question, both in this review and in the one about the CCCP. Ah, damn... you can be sharp and incisive without attacking, you know? ;-) P.S. I was still talking about punk in my post; it doesn’t seem to me that I shifted the discussion much.
