These days I can't find time for anything, but I can't refrain from honoring odradek and its contributions... thanks for the samples... I'm buying this record, alright... Celletti piques my curiosity too.
Stevie Wonder Songs In The Key Of Life

The compositional effort of Stevie Wonder (which extends at least to Journey through the Secret Life of Plants and includes albums like Talking Book, Innervisions, Music of My Mind) and the sheer number of nearly perfect songs he has produced certainly matches that of B.B. King and Jimi Hendrix, who showcased their abilities in different fields. This, of course, if one accepts the fact that the song (as such) in its crystalline simplicity is a highly complex work to create. As for Miles, that's another story; Miles Davis is a giant from another planet, but I think Socrates did not intend to compare them on a compositional level, so much as to discuss the role they played in the Black community in terms of awareness. Then Socrates will certainly intervene to share his thoughts.

Well, it takes just a few calculations to understand it. We're talking about a decade or so, give or take. Yes, just a little younger than the great Socrates. I imagine you're around here too... Speaking of light, when I was following a little girl as she dragged me around Europe, staying a few days in Delft, I can only say that Vermeer impresses me greatly... I'm glad you can see such light (even if from the cave).

Come on, tell the truth, you’ve also walked around for quite a while in that 'almost uniform'. I didn’t get away with it (even though I bought it at drastically cheaper prices!).

May all the debaser reviewers who talk about Joe "I'm the Man" Jackson be saved and protected from any little misfortune. I'm the man, I'm the man that gave you the hula-hoop, I'm the man, I'm the man that gave you the yo-yo... I also stand up when I start from any technological device the notes of Breakin' Us In Two, Slow Song, Is she really going out, Steppin' out, You Can't Get What You Want (in all versions).

I've listened to the records (back then, and now every once in a while), watched the movies (in times past), seen the paintings (right now and ksmgbr knows more than the devil!). I really like this guy!

I was invited to the first little party of my life by cousins who were already teetering on the brink of their first sensual discoveries. Just because I seemed to them like a proper young man, even though I was really just a 'pischelletto' (that’s how you translate the English term 'teenager' in Rome). I got drunk for the first time while the bass line of "I Wish" sounded like an unknown and unknowable wonder. These were parties with 45s, those small records, and "I Wish" was played by those damned cousins as if it were the best of the best. Even better than the slow songs. I didn’t understand a damn thing about the party, of course, and the only young lady who didn’t seem old to me spent the whole time glued to the mouth of a bearded monster. Only later, when my relationship with alcohol and young ladies became a bit more conscious, did I discover this devil of a double LP. Stevie is almost like Ray for me.
