It's a record put together with makeshift means, certainly from the early '70s, but with a use of electronics that is absolutely outside of that context. So the point is that it sounds like a '70s record and the singing is mediocre? That seems a bit weak to me. So the early Dylan was crap. And Neil Young was no different, with his voice and his seventies' sound. Let's not even talk about Battisti: you mentioned "Umanamente Uomo... il sogno," where the title track is whistled in an uncertain and almost disconcerting way (I love Battisti, by the way) in a record that heavily feels the weight of the years. Not to mention "Il mio canto libero." So for you, Dylan, Young, and Battisti were all duds, let me understand. By the way, you still have to explain to me in what sense it's a scam. You can say you don't like it, that it’s not for you, but you still need to explain why it's a dud. For me, "Come un cammello in una grondaia" is a dud not just because I don't like it, but because it's obvious that the lieder he rearranged are mistreated, misdirected, and dissected. In what terms is this a dud? Because it's typically '70 and Battiato sings poorly (and besides, there are very few words)? That’s not much. And it’s not even a critical judgment.

Ah, here you go, you’re listening to it again, so I was right when I told you that lately you haven't really listened to it much. I'm waiting to hear from you.

The story of your childhood is tender and significant, but I'm still waiting for you to tell me why it’s a "pacco". And why you don’t like it. Don’t send me to comments that aren't yours, try to write your own. I've understood the matter of elevation to myth; I didn't ask you this, in fact. I asked you about the "pacco". Can you explain it to me? You said it’s a "pacco" that was elevated to myth ten years later. Well, we got that it became a myth with "La voce del padrone", but nobody understands why it’s a "pacco" here. We’ve understood that you had an unhappy childhood full of coercions, but I don't want to delve into the depths of your intimacy: I just want to know why it’s a "pacco" for you. In your own words. I refer you to comment 15: we are at comment 38 and for more than twenty comments you haven't been able to explain why it’s a "pacco". Come on. In your own words, not those of other patrons.

No, I would like to understand why this Battiato and/or this album is a dud.

Just ask: if you want me to discuss a "masterpiece" next time about something (assuming I do, I know you aren't particularly referring to me, but I'm doing my part), I will do so without a doubt. Regarding your arguments, I doubt you have listened to much of it now that you’re a certain age (at 9-10 years old, I don't believe anyone in this world can appreciate it), and in any case, you haven't said anything about what you criticize about the record and what you don't like. But what's worse is that based on your fickle feelings, you take it upon yourself to declare "it sucks" about whoever you please. "It sucks" does not equate to saying "I don't like it." I can hardly stand jazz, but I wouldn’t say that Miles Davis sucks. So we’re still waiting for you to explain to this audience why Battiato, specifically the experimental Battiato of the '70s, which you posted here, sucks. I don’t know, go on Wikipedia, make something up, but say it.

I did not offend, pardon.

But what does it have to do with anything? Nothing, you are unable to respond and only make things worse. Let's start from a premise: I didn't offend anyone. I said that "Fausto used to jerk off," which is not an offense but a fact since he was 17 years old back then, as you yourself confirm. Then I didn't offend you; I just invited you to be quiet, while you used vulgarity to counter. I don't know Fausto nor do I criticize him; who has ever done that? Have I ever gone to a review of this guy to say he sucks? Never. Instead, you go around without knowing the subject and express unfounded judgments. I only mentioned that he used to jerk off in this review for chronological reasons. Can you explain where the criticism is? Ah, who knows... I repeat: do you have any arguments about this album or will you step back and acknowledge that you were rash in judging something you don't know? Clear and relevant answers, okay?

Comparuzzo, I didn't explain myself well. You don't know my debaseriota story: if you were curious enough to read the old comments, you would discover that I spit in the face of mere experimentation. In some ways, in fact, sometimes my derogatory comments have exposed me to the ridicule of certain Solons. For me, experimentation thrown in just to "astound the idiots" makes no sense. Here, however, Battiato confronts music and sensations head-on, with a work that is not noise randomly put together. If you check my profile, you will see how, where Franco (the first two or three albums) experiments but at the same time produces completed works, my praise is full. But starting from "M.lle le Gladiator," where our friend exaggerates, in my view, with experimentation for its own sake, he only barely passes. So I also find experimentation annoying if it is not well supported by completeness, by meaning, and, why not, also by a melody. Here, in my opinion, Battiato does a good job from this perspective, so I appreciate his work.

Well... but Suche & Liebe is monstrously testicular.

Well!, I’ve listened to the album to the point of exhaustion. I like it. "Una cellula" moves me just like other pieces by Franco from the '80s and '90s, "Fenomenologia" is captivating, "Energia" has a text (and I’m not fixated on lyrics) that gives me chills, without ostentation of culture or latinorum. It’s an album that, here and there, might be considered naif, performed in a homemade manner with an ordinary production, but it’s excellent in terms of (objective) merits and (subjective) emotional aspects. If someone doesn’t like it, they are free to express their opinion, but with some justification.
