Very interesting, I won't deny it. Aside from the issue of criticism, which seems to have been put aside (but frankly I'm fine with that), sticking to the object of contention, I feel I can say that this discussion harkens back to certain long-standing debates that took place here on Debaser aimed at uncovering the meaning of what art is today. I would be annoyed to rehash old labyrinths, but to cut it short, I wonder if an interesting disquisition like yours on a structural aspect – and I’ll tell you, appreciated and generally known to a decent math enthusiast like myself – can justify the term masterpiece concerning the work. Putting it on trivial grounds: we’re not talking about unnecessary mumbo-jumbo, but rather, where is the justification for an overall excessive duration of the tracks on an album like Untilted? How do you, based on considerations regarding the study of frequencies, determine whether a piece becomes redundant after a certain point (e.g., a symphony has movements that dictate its formal and content logic, the song form typically has verse - chorus - verse with a lighter bridge - chorus, an experimental piece that today someone calls a "suite" also has musical cells)? In what terms is it permissible to talk about "music"? All this to say that in my opinion, everything you say about this work as well as others is true, damn interesting, but not sufficient to justify a positive judgment on the piece because the mere intellectual and compositional effort behind it can also produce monsters. One of these in the case of Untilted is, in my opinion, the enormous extension of the eight pieces, which essentially determines my negative judgment: if they had proposed 10-12 pieces averaging 5-6 minutes (don’t take it as a realistic proposal, it’s just to say that I would have preferred a more cohesive structure focused on a more "individualistic" diversification of compositional ideas), I would have received the album differently. In these terms, I think it is instead a sharpening of the ideas of Draft 7.30, with a more exacerbated and labyrinthine closure in its rhythmic experimentation ideas. On this point, if you were a bit more open-minded, you could simply agree with me, stating that indeed we might dwell a bit too much on the pieces and leave it at that. I would consider it a decidedly aggravating factor; you might see it as more superficial, and in a certain sense, we would have found common ground. But I know very well that now you'll tell me that the duration is perfect (based on some unwritten algorithm that exactly validates the theory that the sinusoids of Augmatic Disport must encompass exactly N different frequencies for 10 minutes) and that nothing could have been done differently. In any case, it seems like a hassle just to find a passage that allows us to state that a meticulous work on the decoupage of frequencies justifies a commendation. Let’s put aside the music.

But "amenochè" (which is also ungrammatical) come on. Because then amenoché Dj Tiesto, but also Tiga. Amenochè Sven Vath, amenochè Daft Punk, Overseer, and Fennesz. And then I say, what scientific rigor in your speech: "bastard frequencies" what? Bastard frequencies what that amenochè? Well? But a little rigor, for Diana. Show some signs of logic, not "amenochè."

And on what basis should I feel it there Untitled and Human After All by Daft Punk, right? Just know that that one will mess with your mind too.

Never said that you "are" lagna-rock. But that among the terrible things you listen to, there is also that.

They seem interesting, if and only if there is at least one rastafari listening to them. I have learned in these last few years that something is credible only if there is at least one rastafari practicing it.

I would like to understand who came up with this theory about listening to records 1/4 on a crappy stereo, 2/4 on a professional stereo, and 1/4 on DVD.

I don't appreciate Untilted and Draft 7.30 --> But from a review I wrote, I make no secret of adoring Tri Repetae++ --> I am a puppeteer --> Tri Repetae++ (and not just that: Chiastic, Amber, Incunabula, LP5 plus hundreds of other electronic albums I like) is a pop album.

But in all this, what the heck do I care about what the Brighton engineer says?

Of course, because Tri Repetae++, which is the best for me, is a pop album. Why not.
