Yasujiro Ozu Tokyo monogatari [東京物語]
Voto:
Well, I admit that I have never been able to watch Ozu among the Japanese. I’m telling the truth: it certainly doesn’t rank among the priorities on my to-watch list, since in my few experiences with Japanese cinema I was never captivated. However, the good 123* has painted a beautiful watercolor, so I will gladly spend my curiosity to give this celebrated film a chance.

Juicy review that deserves at least a greeting! Clearly, I wouldn't listen to the reppusi even under torture, especially at the sight of such a cover. #dolceegabbanajefanapippa
Lucio Battisti L'apparenza

Hey, I forgot to share a personal onanistic deformation regarding the lyrics of "Per nome", about which I've thought for years that in line with the musical syntax, "del costato" referred to "avrà accordato" in a sort of an acceptable anastrophe from a semantic point of view. But one day, while reading a transcription of the lyrics, I saw the interpretation that "del costato" would refer to the "tastiera" of the previous line, thus acting as a resounding enjambment rather than an anastrophe. Looking at the whole, I became convinced of the greater semantic correctness of this paraphrase. However, I want to say that I like to think that "costato" is also related to "avrà accordato" through an exciting apò koinù, a powerful and rare rhetorical figure that connects a word to two terms in common. I don't know if you've ever considered this. I look forward to your thoughts.

This is indeed a classy review! And what a peculiar use of transliteration! Full marks.

You even made an anacoluthon! "A puzzle made up of pieces that seemingly cannot be joined together but that with careful attention, one can find a connection among all these pieces."

Sure, the review is useful and good @[Martello] always shows passion for the beloved Lucio. The style is a bit old-fashioned ("rece," "skippiamo," "spatapocchiate"), but I mostly agree with the analysis. The point is that you always make us beg for the words to come out of your mouth: I repeat that I have never really understood many of the songs with lyrics by Panella, but have only grasped them "through images," so if you have valid interpretations of tracks like "Per altri motivi" and "L'apparenza," spill the beans instead of keeping them to yourself!

Anyway, in my opinion, among the white albums, the third is C.S.A.R. and the Sposa Occidentale.

I don't want to stir up a fuss, but I have had a personal dispute with Faber for decades, and I must say that the two live performances with PFM, Volume 8 and Crêuza de mä, where he "is helped" respectively by the Premiata, De Gregori, and Mauro Pagani, have partially helped me resolve it. The other works managed independently do not find me among the most passionate fans, but that's an old story by now.

@[zaireeka]: The review is good, but since I have the syndrome of the annoying philologist, I have to tell you that the transliteration from Ancient Greek needs to be revised! The line is "Ὣς ὁ μὲν ἔνθα καθεῦδε πολύτλας δῖος Ὀδυσσεὺς," which should be transliterated approximately as "Òs o mèn éntha kathèude polýtlas dìos Odyssèus." Then obviously "deus" is Latin, but it was surely just an oversight. Be patient, but I have my troubles as a humanities scholar with a nostalgia for Grassmann's Law.

It was completely unknown to me, but I have to say that based on the powerful monologue by Clytemnestra linked here, it could truly deserve the title of "Wagnerian Callas," having, like the Diva, a truly exceptional stage presence. Great mention.

I'm going a bit piecemeal, and the impression honestly is that there’s a bit of physiological compositional fatigue in the last chapters. The number of words dedicated to the musical product is also dwindling.
I still take this opportunity to say that the Tour de France is a magnificent and unexpected last hurrah from Schneider and company. Everything is pleasantly perfect.
