Every word of praise for this masterpiece would be redundant and already said. Dear @[GullaryShulmann], I always get the impression that you lack something to create perfect reviews, even if it’s probably just details. Here’s what I think is missing: a bit of organic flow in your analysis, since the album consists of two long tracks with distinct characteristics and they deserve to be examined individually, even within the homogeneous flow that gives your review its shape. I can't really tell if you're only talking about Boat-Woman-Song or if you also dedicate one or more words to the title track: I believe you’ve looked at both, but in a continuum that, in my opinion, doesn’t make it clear where one ends and the other begins. Nevertheless, I compliment you for bringing attention to a masterpiece of the genre, using the right words of praise for it.
Federico Fellini Lo Sceicco Bianco
Voto:
Not one of my favorites by Fellini, clearly due to a mere chronological issue, given that we are at the very beginnings of the fruitful production of the Rimini-born director, thus still a bit immature and with elements typical of Fellinian cinema not yet fully focused. Nevertheless, it is still a beautiful film for all the aspects wisely highlighted by the very precise John.
I’m going to be the nitpicker: after the famous "incinte," I would like to bring to the attention of many another very common mistake that befalls the much-maligned "zenit," which has probably, due to a famous brand of watches, often been written with an 'h' at the end. Another old story is Warhol becoming Wharol (I’m not quite sure why here). Then, speaking of films, it would be better to use "attribuirgli" instead of "attribuirvi," and there’s a typo on Bergman (but clearly, it's just a slip). However, the review remains spot on.

Too young to have lived it, but seeing here and there snippets of the openings and the "best of" on the Tube, I have just one word that best expresses my feelings: unsettling.
Piero Ciampi Io e te abbiamo perso la bussola

Very well, dear Asteriscato: you wanted to take advantage of an incredibly open space here on Deb regarding Piero Litaliano to review this little gem. Clearly, the greatest satisfaction is having seen you compromise by judging the work with star ratings, a source of pride and vanity for me.
A lot has been said about Piero: I will limit myself here to judging the album, which in my view starts off great with the initial trio, only to unravel and wallow a bit too much. Nevertheless, four stars well-deserved.

Really excellent advice: I've listened to it several times and it's a gem. They seem like Animal Collective with a ponzu twist. A concise and imaginative review.
Werner Herzog Paese del silenzio e dell'oscurità (Land des Schweigens und der Dunkelheit)

No, this time this review does not satisfy me. In my opinion, it is precisely the mechanism of refusing to assign a judgment to the film that is the bone of contention, as it is not clearly understood whether the reviewer recommends watching it or not, and if so, to what extent. From the conclusion, it seems like a yes, but that "exagera" at the beginning is misleading for me. I have a curious attitude towards Herzog - of whom, to my memory, I have only seen Fitzcarraldo - and I would gladly accept a recommendation, but there is a difference between saying "it's a masterpiece" and saying "it's good, it's worth it." Here I cannot grasp the essence. I can also understand the stubborn desire to avoid stars, but then everything else must clarify the value of the reviewed object. I have only barely understood the subject, while the critical commentary that should persuade one to watch it is latent. What a shame.

I didn't buy it (and of course not) but I saw the tracklist online: it's quite a feeling to see a "rare" track like "The Things You Said" in a live setting or the not-so-memorable "I Want You Now." I always harbor an incurable optimism when greeting each new work from Dave and the guys, but for me, the creative vein ran dry in 2005 with "Playing the Angel," so since then it's always been misplaced hopes. Then "Sounds of the Universe" and "Delta Machine," especially the former, were close to absolute monstrosity, and I'm not surprised that our boys didn't even plan to include one track in the latest tour.
A review longer than Yao Ming's cardboard cutout but filled with chunky passion.

I had mistakenly made a visual blend and had therefore read "The noise of the vagina," only to change my mind upon a closer re-reading. Always be wary of @[iside]'s tastes; in fact, I'm listening to it now and I'll come back to confirm the premise. #maybe
Sam Mendes American Beauty

But just think, I hadn’t even noticed that “movie” there: true to my picky nature, I was more focused on that “although” with the indicative mood. But let’s not digress: the review is good and thorough, despite a few excessive sentences.
In my opinion, the film received some overly generous praise: it remains a clever and incredibly well-calibrated work in making us dislike almost all the characters, with Spacey leading the pack, portraying a petty bourgeois who cannot manage life and family, or the repressed gay Colonel Fitts with a minimal relationship with his son and violence as his only means of communication. However, as often happens in Mendes' films, there are sound missteps in my view. Like the famous scene with the plastic bag, placed there to provoke some kind of reflection in the viewer on the wonders of creation, but in my opinion, it’s nothing but a weightless nonsense unworthy of a genius of modern directing. So ultimately, it’s a decent work that personally doesn’t make me shout miracle.

This (now) is indeed a review! Top marks especially for the implicit fight against Northernist slogans: "Cacare e non cagare, fica e non figa".
