Ah, Hal, you're opening a door wide! The Devoto-Oli! Look, you won't believe it, but I've been waging an open battle against that garbage of the Devoto-Oli for decades, the biggest bluff in Italian dictionary literature... two genuine idiots who, when I wanted to encourage my etymological research, dashed every hope by marking every word with: "Etimo Incerto," so in the end, I was left knowing nothing about this or that noun. Then, linguistically speaking, they never explain anything; even the most crude Garzanti is better, as it provides some additional philological support. So I won't go near the Devoto-Oli because if it ever ends up in my hands at a bookstore, I will wildly burn it; I prefer something much better: I've already searched in Garzanti and Treccani (5 vols., auctoritas) and didn't find it, now I'll see about delving deeper... down with Devoto-Oli, long live Barbara Colonna!

Clouseau? Uhm, yes, the charm of the bumbling fool in civilian clothes works... the outfit, for once, doesn't make the monk :-/

Then I put on the saheimplz: the first is "Flip to Play," the second you can't hear because I think I messed things up a bit, the third is "Ordinary Life," and the fourth, to rekindle your old memories, is "Pappappappappappappapparàra" as Josi_ suggested.

First of all, I criticize you that "decontextualized" isn't actually in the dictionary, rather it's not found in the Italian language... :)

Well, you're not telling me the truth. It depends. The raincoat can be shiny, made of cotton, and come in various colors. Undoubtedly, the raincoat has its charm, but there's an entire culture of gloss-latex around it that makes me think...

Is there something I hate more than having to wear shoes? Balderdash...! I notice, though, Hal, that if I review punk-rock-crap-pop stuff, you don't know them... do I have to go Punk to stop seeing your posts? :)

Um, Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, I say charmingly speaking, then about the raincoat, and above all, what’s inside doesn’t matter to me! It’s very fetish, anyway.

With the raincoat, I also liked Edward G. Robinson... and Mitchum.

Yes, I noticed... what can I say, I quote Peter Falk in "Angels with a Gun" from '61: "Everyone has their own problems"... :)
